ResMed AirSense 10 making noise

Post by JerseyBiker » Thu Jan 05, 2023 2:56 pm

I have owned my ResMed AirSense 10 since July 2020, that's almost 2 and a half years. It's my second, and by far the best CPAP machine I owned. Up until 2 or 3 weeks ago, It was practically silent. Now it makes for the lack of a better term, a whistling noise. It's constant but more pronounced with each inhale. Other than the noise, it still works great. My concern is that it will get worst with time, and completely break down. Nothing seems loose. I only use distilled water. Has anyone else experienced anything like this with their ResMed AirSense 10? If so what was your solution? Thanks

I had something similar happen recently and it was due to the water chamber not being seated properly.

Sounds like one of two things to me:

1) The humidifier tank may either have a bad gasket, not be closed properly, or not be fully inserted into the machine.

2) The air filter may have gotten partially sucked into the air intake of the blower unit.

Check those two things and see if there is anything that doesn't look quite right. If the noise continues after making sure the problem is not these two things, let us know.
