The most common suspect for random dry mouth or dry throat....mouth breathing when we can't blame maybe medication or hydration as the cause.

Depends on how annoying it is and how much large leak the mouth breathing might cause what we might want to do about it.

It doesn't take much mouth breathing to dry out the mouth or throat. I have had it happen with as little as 5 minutes of probable mouth breathing.

Twice a week...I don't know I would do much about it depending on how bad it is. You could try increasing the humidity setting but I don't know that it would help much but might be worth trying.

I do suggest that you use available free software to monitor leaks just to make sure that the mouth breathing is causing massive prolonged leaks that could potentially impact therapy effectiveness. I don't worry about 15 minutes of big leak but I would worry about 2 hours of big leak.

All the DreamMapper app shows in terms of leakage is you didn't hit large leak territory with any leaks.
Large leak territory on Respironics machines is up there in terms of excess leakage. So doesn't mean no excess leaks happened...just means leaks didn't hit large leak territory.
Mouth breathing leaks don't have to hit large leak territory to dry out the mouth or throat.
