AirTouch F20 is such a major disappointment

Post by YawnGone » Wed Jan 08, 2020 6:52 pm

I got skin irritation and sore spot from F30, so I had high hopes for foam F20. It's terrible, couldn't do a damn thing to stop it leaking from 4 spots at the same time. So disappointed. Do liners really make much of a difference?

Liners are very comfortable, but It increased my leak rates.

It's a worthwhile tradeoff as long as the leak rates are in the acceptable range for the machine to maintain performance.

Your machine will happily sit there with a 24lpm leak all night long, as long as that leak isn't bothering your sleep (which is what mask liners help with) then everything is fine.

a small leak can be very annoying if it's noisy, or blowing in your eyes, but a big diffused by a mask liner leak may not bother you at all... which is a net win :)

I had bad luck with the Airtouch F20 also, it was great for a couple nights then starts to leak. Seems like the foam is not made well, back to the Airfit P10 for me, my beard is too long for FFMs at this point.

I gave up after 2 nights and went back to air fit because of the leaks . I still don't believe there is such a thing as the perfect mask .

I just switched to the F20 AirTouch about 3 weeks ago, great mask no leaks. Don't knock the mask just because it didn't work for you. :D

The reviews on cpap.com from verified users are very good.

For any mask you try, it can be a big help to watch three or four videos about fitting and adjusting on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... rtouch+f20

I've been using AirTouch F20 for at least 6 months. Been great until just recently when it's waking me up because of leaks that I feel or hear. Frustrating. Happen to just changed the whole headgear about 2 weeks ago so I know it's not stretched out, everything new. I don't understand. Maybe every other day this is happening. This morning woke with it on, no issues. Night before I ended up takng it off after a couple hours because I couldn't adjust it to stop leaking.

CPAP is fun!

Who's asking for perfect? I'd settle for an F20 that doesn't leak out of 4 different spots and gets no better no matter how much I adjust it, unless I tighten to the point my head's about to pop off.
