False Mask On/Offs

About a month ago my Resscan reports for my Airsense 10 autoset began showing no Leak information and more than 10 mask on/offs for the night when I know I only went to bed and woke up so it should show 2 mask on/offs. It has been doing this consistently for over a month. I know it also should show some leaks. Do I need to send this machine in for service?

is it possible for you to download the oscar software and post some graphs? i'm just wondering if resscan isn't reporting properly. and you may want to double check that using oscar.

Oscar is more user-friendly than Resscan.
Likely because it is developed by and FOR patients.

How old is the machine?

Have you tried unplugging the machine from the electric plug and then plugging it back in. This forces the machine's internal software to reboot. Very similar to when we reboot a computer to clean out the cobwebs.

To test the leak recording. When you start the machine play with it for about 5 or 10 minutes and force it to leak for sure with a big leak.
See what it records.

If after all that...no joy and it's still not showing you what you know it should show you....it needs to be serviced and you need to alert whomever you got the machine from that there is a problem with what the machine writes to the SD card.

I downloaded the software and it has similar results to the Resscan regarding false mask on/offs. I have between 20 and 30 sessions showing each night although, to my knowledge, I don't remove my mask until morning, so I would guess the machine must be messing up.

Or go into the clinical menu and turn off smart start. It seems your machine thinks youve taken you mask off.

Seeing an example screenshot with pressure, leak and mask pressure might shed some light.

A "mask on/off" is really a device on/off.

• Turn machine off, for a minute or so, then turn back on.
• Ensure power cable is properly plugged into device, power brick and wall.
• Turn off "SmartStart".
• Post graphs to see if there is any kind of patterns to power cycling.

Attached are some of my my Oscar graphs from last night. I ordered a Dreamstation Auto as a replacement machine. Too bad the Airsense 10 Autoset apparently failed.

That’s not a daily graph that’s a summary graph. Looking at the number of sessions your machine has been turning off for a long time since October. Did you try any of the suggestions like turning off smart start ?


Don’t by a dream station stick with the Resmed Autoset 10 your used too.
