New Mask Question
New Mask Question
Hi everyone
I just got fitted for my 3rd full face mask in 2 months. I started with dream wear full face mask and hated this mask it was too close to my mouth and went to the Simplus which I liked alot but the leaking around my eyes was a deal breaker and now the AirFit F30 and still I'm having issues and can't seem to find one post about my issues so I guess I'm a weirdo anyway the seal that goes around your mouth area is very annoying because I can feel the seal edge near my mouth does anyone have this issue?

Re: New Mask Question
There's another new full face mask from F & P.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/fisher ... k-one-size
Since you liked the Simplus you might like it.
I don't use full face masks so I don't have any personal experience with any of them and this Vitera is brand new to the market.
I haven't seen any discussion about it yet.

Re: New Mask Question
I use the f20 airfit ( not totally leakproof but best so far ) .my wife made me a single Velcro strap that does between 2 lower straps ( ones with magnets)and then under my chin . helps keep mouth closed and mask from riding up to your lip . 3 nights so far and no problems with mouth leaks anymore .

That sounds creative. I wish I had figured out something like that when I wore the F20.bristolman wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 5:34 pmI use the f20 airfit ( not totally leakproof but best so far ) .my wife made me a single Velcro strap that does between 2 lower straps ( ones with magnets)and then under my chin . helps keep mouth closed and mask from riding up to your lip . 3 nights so far and no problems with mouth leaks anymore .

It was very comfortable but the mask area over my mouth wouldn't stay centered.
Sounds like you found a good solution.

Re: New Mask Question
ResMed does have another option in the full face style, the f20 airtouch, this is a part memory foam part silicone cushion. It is compatible with the f20 mask frame you currently have, so you would not have to purchase an entire new mask. Your local DME should be able to help you out with a mask fit or trial. Hope this helps.

Re: New Mask Question
read about strap under the chin posted by a user on another forum and he called it a woozie ( I think ) . showed it to my wife and she kinda simplified it . still working really well if you don't mind messing with another strap . for me my head movement against pillow caused my mask to move ( leaks )and extra strap really helped stabilize that and eliminate those leaks . still going really well for me .

Re: New Mask Question
I bought a neck cushion system from site mentioned here pad a cheek I hope this can help with my dream wear full face mask since I have neck arthritis and that blasted strap just kills the back of my neck I will just suffer with mask being close to mouth if this neck thing works.bristolman wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 11:16 amread about strap under the chin posted by a user on another forum and he called it a woozie ( I think ) . showed it to my wife and she kinda simplified it . still working really well if you don't mind messing with another strap . for me my head movement against pillow caused my mask to move ( leaks )and extra strap really helped stabilize that and eliminate those leaks . still going really well for me .

I doubt anything will help the Airfit 30 it absolutely drives me bonkers ....I had no leaks and actually have had no leaks on any of the mask with the exception of the pin hole leaks near both eyes on Simplus that never registered on machine but dry eyes is unacceptable.
Can't find anything about chin strap woozie!
Re: New Mask Question
Bristolman the chin strap that your wife made for the f20 sounds interesting. Do you have a picture of this that you can share with us.
Thanks
