Numbers have gone off the rails!

Post by 1sleepyhubby » Sun Sep 23, 2018 4:58 pm

Hi everyone! My husband has been using a cpap now for about 3.5 years. He had his AHI pretty under control until about 6 months ago, and then it slowly has started creeping up. At this point, he's averaging about a 5.5 in the couple weeks according to Sleepyhead. We're not sure what's really changed for him to cause this. He uses a dreamstation apap with an amara view mask. Is there anything we could possibly adjust or tweak so he could get some better rest? He's really feeling it as it keeps dragging on night after night. TIA!!!

Please read the sticky post for new users, we need information to be able to offer useful suggestions... wild guesses won't help him.

Hope I'm doing this right! Tried to copy what I saw in Pugsy's tips post.

Any chance he's (slowly) gained even a little weight? It's amazing what a diff. it can make.

We don't need the resp rate chart, it just causes the good ones to be squished more.

Try raising the minimum to 12.

We've actually been on a diet and trying to lose weight, so he doesn't appear that he's gained any...maybe come down a few pounds even.
