I've got the same machine I use, in a case in the closet, same settings, mask, hose, everything needed.

I had a spare for the backup, till someone made off with it.

I have the same backup as you. It has like a week or two of usage on it. I expect to use it as my travel machine as well.

I have a spare that I keep set up in the guest bedroom so I can keep my germs away from my wife when I have a cold. It's almost the same as my main machine (Autoset vs Autoset For Her) and since I am not using the For Her mode, it is really the same thing. It's a low hours machine I bought for backup and as a travel machine.

me, for sure. my main machine is crapping out on me so i bought an airsense to serve as my fisrt line machine, while my old machine will serve as backup.

i'm very lucky in that i don't have to rely on insurance to buy one and that gives me more flexibility.

i could NEVER imagine having to go through a night without cpap!!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Since my wife and I both use the same model machine, we have two spares. One for me and one for her.

I have one. No, wait, I actually have two. I retired my first machine, a Phillips Respironics, but right before that I bought a refurbished Resmed Airsense 9 For Her. Then I bought the 10 For Her, having noticed that the "For Her" version seemed to work better for me. The 9 is my backup, and it's the one I travel with. I am thinking about having the old Respironics refurbished. I am paranoid about being without a machine, so given that frame of mind, a backup to the backup makes perfect sense!
