Encore Software & Reader

I was wondering if anyone could clarify or direct me to a link for more info.

I just wanted to clarify info on the Encore Software & Reader.

If I have purchased the Encore Software I would also have to purchase the Encore Smart Card Reader. I'm only asking because I work in the computer industry and the price of the reader is obscene. Just want to know if the Encore Smart Card will only work with their overpriced reader.

You can buy the card reader from Hong Kong for less than 30 USD.
Just search this forum for 2-Factors dot com.

As far as I know, the Infineer DT3500 is the only Smart Card reader that
has the nessary PC drivers to 'talk" to Encore Pro,

If $30.40 is obscene for the DT3500 Smart Card Reader, you will really need to go to Church to get over the $99.95 for the Software. Jim

It's not the cost of items we buy that's obscene, it's that everyone expects to make a living to pay their bills, some people create to make money, others don't and just make their money selling.

The World would be a better place if people were paid according to the vaule their work added to items. The problem someone would starve.

Doea anyone know if two factors can be paid other than thru paypal. I sent them an email but didn't get a reply

I used Paypal two separate times, had a little scam problem, not their fault, I ignored it. (didn't reply to emails)

second time no problems, both times delivery in under 10 days. Paypal is painless, just used mastercard, if internet fraud is involved you are pretty well protected. Jim

You might get two, a spare is nice for checking problems, that's why I had to make two trips at it.

Their translator only goes in once a week. Get PayPal it is great.

I bought the reader and used Paypal. I was able to use Paypal on a one-time basis without having to set up a Paypal account.

Don't forget to download the Encore Pro drivers from 2-factors, and do not use the drivers that are on the cd included with the reader.
