Has this forum become more mean-spirited and petty than it was even 3 months ago? What a bunch of bitter angry old coots and cootettes. Thank God there at least a few who seem more interested in solving problems, gaining solutions and supporting others than the load of shit slinging, disparaging county club members who resent anyone new and who has not been granted the CPAPTALK seal of approval by some cranky old goat.

The once friendly corner bar to gather at has become more of a biker bar with a pretty rowdy crowd.
The bar owner doesn't care how rowdy things are and doesn't seem to care that the rowdy crowd is maybe driving away good paying business and it won't be long before no one is left but the rowdy bikers.
I don't know who the rowdy bikers will pick on once all the good paying customers are gone. Maybe they will turn on each other and eat their own young. I can only hope.

I agree! Nothing is going to change though. I've given up thinking that it will. New people have to learn to take what's good about this place and leave the rest. There are people who truly want to help; you just have to read closely to find out who those people are, and totally ignore the rest of the crap. What's been happening isn't really new... been going on for a long time. It has gotten worse because it's been allowed to continue, and isn't going to stop anytime soon.

Anyone watching the news lately?? I would think the horrors in the real world would lessen the garbage here... but it hasn't. This would be a perfect place to be kind and helpful to people needing assistance on their cpap journey. Really a shame.

I agree LH that nothing is going to change. It took me a long time to accept that but I finally have and simply now view these BS threads as entertainment. I know, pretty pathetic but I am getting cable in a few days so I will have something alot better to replace it with. LOL!

I was thinking the same thing. If anybody knows what arrogance is, it's xxyzx - he is, without a doubt, the most arrogant poster we've run across in a long time! There have been a few that are close, but he wins the "arrogant" award hands down!!

Lately, I have noticed that there seems to be less real XPAP problems on this board. It probably is due to no new members being processed.

In my way of thinking, this makes the meaningless posts stand out.

When the "gang" goes after the meaningless posters, it probably scares away newcomers, not to mention a newcomer probably only looks at the first page of the board. When they don't see anything pertaining to their immediate problem they move on.

Other boards just seems to ignore the meaningless posts, so they drop off the page quickly.

CP-- U r right. We sometimes do not look before posting, but we are still human beings. It takes time to get used to this forum and its people. No need to be nasty. We r here to learn not get browbeated for doing what you may consider wrong.

This forum has turned into a bash everyone place and is not longer a place to help. We were all newbys at one point and have since dialed in our therapy with the notion of the pay it forward credo. We no longer pay it forward as things have turned into a "me me me" forum and folks think that they are either being picked on or think they know everything about everything. I for one appreciate the help I have received over the years and have made some good friends in the process. But, things are different now, its a different world we live in and folks seem to be all about disagreements and strife. Yes we used to discuss "other" topics, and they did get rather heated at times, but everyone said their piece and never blamed others for being wrong or having a different perspective on the subject. Now its "I'm always right and you are wrong" or "everyone is picking on me" or calling others nasty names, sorry folks but that is enough. I am gone.

Some people don't get it though... we're not saying they're terrible people and should leave, but I think it's valid to say that when advice is given by many, good advice backed up not only by others but by years of proof here that it works, and then people ignore it, but come back complaining over and over, how is it always the fault of those feeling irritated by being ignored for trying to help? There should be a point at which posters have to help themselves to an extent... they've obviously figured out how to use the computer and post here, and to formulate complaints, etc.... why should we continue on repeating ourselves only to be then lambasted for being mean if we eventually get frustrated and tired ourselves?
