CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
My old 50F (wrist model) died and I bought this a few months ago. It comes with a different software from the 50F, SP02 Assistant, which I installed. I admit that I had a little trouble getting it to work right initially and upload the overnight data, but I DID get it to work, doing a full overnight after I got everything working.
Then I put it away for a few months.
Got it out last week, charged it fully and did an overnight. Now I'm having an issue that I just can't seem to resolve.
When I plug the monitor into with the cord into a USB port (and I've tried several ports) - the computer DONGS meaning it recognizes something is there, but it's not able to access any data (doesn't list it as a viable "F" drive as it should). I go through the entire thing through SP02 Assistant and select "Connect Device" and it finds it. Then I select "Device Stored Data" and it takes a few seconds, then comes back with a "Device Not Responding" error.
I know there IS data because you can review it on the device itself and I can see it for the entire night.
I admit I've tried everything I know, including resetting the monitor to factory defaults and uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
I'm stumped and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
Does that model require a proprietary cable? Some of those models do and some don't. I don't remember which ones though.
Palerider should know though.
Are you for sure using the cable that came with it?

Re: CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
It sounds like if you're getting a "dong" that you're plugging it in after the computer is up and running. Two things you could try if you haven't already: 1) unplug it and plug back in while the computer is on. 2) Turn the computer off completely, plug it in, and then turn the computer back on. I've had issues with peripheral equipment not being recognized or seemed to be recognized but wouldn't work where one of these two things has worked.

It came with a cable and even though it looked the same as the 50F, I switched it to the new one to be sure.Pugsy wrote:Does that model require a proprietary cable? Some of those models do and some don't. I don't remember which ones though.

I'll try some of that as soon as I can. I had just rebooted the computer that morning (shut it down for nasty storms the night before) but I'll try your suggestions.WearyOne wrote:It sounds like if you're getting a "dong" that you're plugging it in after the computer is up and running. The 50D+ and E models do, the F and I models don't.Pugsy wrote:Does that model require a proprietary cable? Some of those models do and some don't. I don't remember which ones though.

I don't have any experience with the 60F models yet, but it can't hurt to use the cable that came with the device.

No guarantees, but look at this site. https://innovo-medical.com/products/innovo-cms-50f-plus. Under the tab "Download to PC Instructions" It has a video regarding downloading to SPC Assistant from a 50f. The left hand video is for non blue tooth transfer of data. Since you're getting the 'ding' it's registering something.
Start up the Assistant, then plug in the meter. Select the rs232 plug by clicking on it. Select your monitor. Go to /File/Device Stored Data.
Good luck!
Edited to add that the right hand video is for blue tooth transfer. I know this is not your monitor, but I'm guessing the software is the same. Could be wrong, could be right, no guaranty like I mentioned.

Re: CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
As usual, xxyzx has posted an erroneous answer. The 50F+ was not even mentioned in the question. The 60F is the hand held version. I had one but the rechargeable battery died after less than a month. That may be the problem. My 50f is still working fine. The 60f can use a generic micro USB cable. It worked fine until the battery died. Incidentally the 50f+ is made by Innovo, and differs in that it connects via Bluetooth. It does not work with Sleepyhead. I realize that was not the question but wanted to avoid confusion.xxyzx wrote:====palerider wrote:The 50D+ and E models do, the F and I models don't.Pugsy wrote:Does that model require a proprietary cable? Re: CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
Thanks for sharing this information. I'm going to try again, trying to follow the instructions exactly, but I suspect it won't matter. I get to the point where it's time to access the data and keep getting "Device Not Responding."wm_hess wrote:No guarantees, but look at this site. https://innovo-medical.com/products/innovo-cms-50f-plus. Also, this specific device does NOT have Bluetooth. The software lists it, but the device itself does not have that option.
And as I indicated, I am using the USB cable that came with it. I'm 100% positive because my 50F had a gray cable and this one is black. The computer "bongs" when I plug it in, the software finds the device, but it can't access the data. It's like it's not transmitting.
But I am not admitting defeat. Once I get a few personal things completed (quitting my job, documenting for new person, etc) I'll have time to really work on this.
I appreciate all the input and any more suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Re: CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
One last suggestion. Make sure you have the correct drivers. CP210x_VCP_Windows32, or CP210x_VCP_Windows64.

Did you try to uninstall everything and start from scratch?

Yes and No. I did it, but not in the most logical order. I have a tendency to just keep trying things as I think of them, which sometimes works, sometimes does not. LOLraisedfist wrote:Did you try to uninstall everything and start from scratch?
That is another step to take for sure. Thanks!

Re: CMS60F Pulse Ox Meter Help
I had a problem at first with mine. I used the software on the CD they provide, and thought the drivers it installed were OK, but was not the case. Someone on another forum recommended I get the drivers directly from the site. Try https://www.silabs.com/products/develop ... cp-drivers
