I'm concerned that my S9 Elite may not be working correctly, even though sleepyhead is reporting normal data. Here's why:
1. I've been basically feeling "untreated" for a few months now even though my AHI is consistently around 1.5 to 2.5 max. I wake up extremely groggy in the morning and feel tired throughout the day. I've also been having panic attacks for the first time in five or six years with no obvious external reason/trigger.
2. One night a few weeks ago, my machine just shut off in the middle of the night for no obvious reason. I thought that perhaps the power had fluctuated or something, but computers/microwave/fridge/clocks/etc. everything else was normal in the apartment. It started up normally and I continued the night and everything looked normal in Sleepyhead later on minus the short gap.
3. I just posted this thread - viewtopic/t102488/AirFit-F10--almost-co ... t-dry.html - about how my humidifier seems to be using all/most of the water in my tank each night but the air in my mask feels pretty dry compared to the previous mask I used, where I felt smothered by a wet rag with even light humidity settings.
Is there some sort of diagnostic menu that I can do with my machine? Is there a way to do some sort of master reset of it? I own the machine outright (ResMed s9 Elite). Does this sound like a malfunctioning machine?
Is my machine malfunctioning? Test/reset/etc/?

What have your leak numbers been looking like?
If leaks are large enough the machine will shut itself off (if SmartStart is enabled) when the leaks are so big the machine doesn't know you are attached to it.
Also when leaks are high more water is consumed.
Unfortunately there is no diagnostic test that I know of that we could use to troubleshoot or verify anything. People who work on these machines probably have some sort of testing available but nothing that we can do at home.

You could try unplugging the machine for about 5 minutes or so, that reboots it. You may already have tried this, but it's a real long shot, since your machine sounds like it's working. I agree that looking at mask leaks and mask leak data could be the key here on the anomalous shutdown.
