AirFit F10 - almost completely using all water but dry?
A few months ago, I switched from the Mirage Quattro to the AirFit F10 mask on my S9 machine/humidifier. I've noticed that in switching to this mask, I now go through almost a full tank of water each night on a humidity setting of 4.5 - yet the air in the mask never feels particularly "humid" or moist to me, it mostly just feels dry. On the Quattro, anything over about 2.5 or 3 would feel like I was being smothered by a wet rag. Is this normal for this mask in anyone else's experience, or is there maybe something up with my humidifier or machine?
Re: AirFit F10 - almost completely using all water but dry?
I'm late in replying to your question, but I have the same experience with my F10 and can't figure out why. I also use the QFX, which doesn't dry me out at all. With exactly the same settings and fittings, the F10 always wakes me up with very dry mouth. I don't open my mouth with either mask. I can't even come up with a decent guess.

How are the leaks...You will use more water if your leaks have increased with the new mask.

The F10 is very free venting and may have increased air flow "out" and with it the humidity loss that needs more water.

I use the same mask and machine. I keep the humidity set between 4.5-5 and most of the water tank ends up used by the end of the night. I don't feel like everything's soggy in the morning either. I think it's just better venting.

the vent rates for the mirage quattro and the airfit f10 are exactly the same.CMM wrote: I think it's just better venting.

I'm dry with the F10 also . Go through a tank of water a day . Added room humidifier and it solved the problem .
Re: AirFit F10 - almost completely using all water but dry?
yes, what about comparing the LEAKS between the two masks?

My leak rates are the same with both masks. My dryness comes in the form of cotton mouth, even though my humidifier doesn't run dry.

I'm having the same experience with the quattro air. My mouth feels dry as paper, and the tank is bone dry after being filled completely. My leak level went through the roof with this thing though. I think I'll try to tighten it tonight and see if that helps. Might have to switch back though.
