not noticing too much difference from CPAP.
Re: not noticing too much difference from CPAP.
Flow limitations are still causing sleep fragmentation (micro-arousal). That's probably you are not feeling better. You should optimize the pressure setting to get rid of those FLs.
Re: not noticing too much difference from CPAP.
Would you suggest talking to my doctor about raising it? Or what is the solution to it? Thanks for the reply!
Re: not noticing too much difference from CPAP.
Few things looking at your charts:
1) You can't be a part time PAPer. You need to use the machine every night and for the whole duration of the night. This way, you will give your body a consistent signal of a new normal with xPAP rather than keeping it guessing if the next session is with CPAP or without.
2) Your AHI of 1.78 is great. You can chase out the FLs with a little bit more pressure. You may want to raise it by 0.5cm, see the effect for a week and then decide if you want to raise it again.

I do use the machine every night, although my hours are very weird, I fall asleep at like, 5 or 6am and wake up at like, 2pm. So the sessions look broken up, but the usage time carries on to the next day.
Re: not noticing too much difference from CPAP.
So why the weird hours?

I am a severe night owl too (DSPS), and I have the time set on my machine so that it thinks noon is at 3pm. This keeps my sleep sessions together correctly with accurate results for time slept, ahi, leak, etc. I just know that if I am looking at something specific, I need to adjust the time on the report to the real time.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

I've never heard of that pugsy! What's scary is that that sounds like me 100%! Wow! I may need to ask my doctor about that when I can! And zoocrewphoto, I thought about doing that, but was afraid it would either corrupt my SD card, or REALLY throw off my data somehow.

with the 0.9.8-1 version of SH, you can tell it not to roll to the next day until a time that better suits your schedule (for a couple of the people in this household, I have it set for 6pm).zoocrewphoto wrote:I am a severe night owl too (DSPS), and I have the time set on my machine so that it thinks noon is at 3pm. Re: not noticing too much difference from CPAP.
Good to know. I have only used sleepyhead twice. Once to see how it worked, and once to view my brother's data. He has a Respironics machine. I normally use ResScan which I like better. I changed the time on my machine on my second day, as soon as I realized it was only showing me the last half hour of data on screen. I wake up for work at 12:30pm. I didn't know how to check data back then. Even now, I don't check on the computer very often. But I do check the screen daily. I like to know how many hours I used the machine as I sometimes misjudge. My ahi is usually very good, so for me, the real test is how long I slept.palerider wrote:with the 0.9.8-1 version of SH, you can tell it not to roll to the next day until a time that better suits your schedule (for a couple of the people in this household, I have it set for 6pm).zoocrewphoto wrote:I am a severe night owl too (DSPS), and I have the time set on my machine so that it thinks noon is at 3pm. Pressure should be slowly increased to reduce FLs.H4X0R46 wrote:Would you suggest talking to my doctor about raising it? Or what is the solution to it? Thanks for the reply!

Do it yourself .5cm every few days. No diabetic asks their doctor if they can increase their insulin based on their readings. The manuals are online.H4X0R46 wrote:Would you suggest talking to my doctor about raising it? Or what is the solution to it? Thanks for the reply!
