Think I need to adjust something

Post by amybeth » Tue Dec 09, 2014 8:54 am

I'm posting the last week of my reports to see if I can get some advice. I've progressively been feeling more and more tired lately (few months) and since I have no clue what I'm looking at on these reports, I thought I'd post them here for some insight. Any thoughts/opinions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I don't see anything in the reports here that screams out "fix me" that might help you with how you feel.
That said there seems to be a little what I call "clutter" a few nights which would be all the flag you see except the CA flags.
If you are wanting to adjust something...maybe a little more minimum pressure...like 0.5 or 1.0 more minimum to see if the clutter reduces.
The CAs (centrals) make me wonder...are you waking often during the night? If so, any idea why?
I would look at sleep quality itself....hours of sleep and are those hours fragmented for any reason?
Also I would look at meds...do you take any meds of any kind? If so, what?

I don't think I wake up a lot, but when I do it's because I feel like I can't breath (sinus issues), when that happens I normally whip the mask off and give up. Nothing is worse than feeling like I'm suffocating. Other than that, I have had my husband wake me up a few times because I'm breathing through my mouth.

I have been back to feeling super tired lately. Not as bad as pre-therapy, but close. I fall asleep within a few minutes of laying down and feel like I'm going to drop if I don't get a nap in the afternoon. When I do get to nap, it takes me literally no time to fall asleep. I just lay down and I'm out.

I take 100mg of Zoloft every night before bed.

Have you looked at the potential side effects for Zoloft?
It is known to cause insomnia plus sleepiness along with some other stuff that could impact how you feel.
Pretty much all those SSRI meds will do that.
What you are describing...the waking up and inability to get back to sleep is called sleep maintenance insomnia.
It may be a side effect of the Zoloft and it might not.

I'd suggest trying a fixed pressure of 9.5 or 10.0 cm.
Your tired feeling could be a result of the pressure changes during the night.

Den

.
(5) REMstar Autos w/C-Flex & (6) REMstar Pro 2 CPAPs w/C-Flex - Pressure Setting = 14 cm.
"Passover" Humidification - ResMed Ultra Mirage FF - Encore Pro w/Card Reader & MyEncore software - Chiroflow pillow
