Hi Den! Thanks, Pugsy.

Den, I had been regarding the PAP as an appliance the past year or so, but noticed my AHI creeping up lately. Thought I had better check out some trends. Take care.

Your profile shows ResMed machine....Encore is for Respironics machine

To anyone reading this thread and I sure wish people would read it because I need to know the operating system on your computer to be able to help quickly and easily.

If you have Windows 8.1...you are out of luck with Pro right now as it has been reported that it may have a conflict with the installer...I have been getting multiple reports of Pro install failures on Win 8.1...seems to work okay with Win 8.0 though.
There is a work around available using Encore Basic.
If people would tell me ahead of time then I can send information for the best way to proceed.

Everyone else....check your PMs...I think I or Jerry have covered everyone...send me a PM if I missed someone.

No, no...that comment was not directed at you...It was directed to anyone reading the thread...There's probably at least 3 "can I get Encore Pro" threads and no one ever bothers to tell me what operating system they have until it won't install.
So I just try to save myself and them some time and work by getting things sorted out ahead of time.
Especially extra work for Pro installs because it is such a PITA. I don't offer support for it anymore due to the headaches it causes.

There's nothing so much fun as spending half a day trying to install something that won't install because Windows version isn't compatible. I am just trying you save you all some headaches and extra work. I much prefer to get it right the first time.

Hello Pugsy, I had written here a while back but did not have a compatible machine. I was able to get my doctor to prescribe a machine that I was told would be compatible with the Encore software. Here is my information: Resperonics Auto 560p, I am running Windows 8.1 with Media Center. I was able to find the Encore 2.0 Pro file however it does fail on install "Express SQL Server Failed" or something like that. Tried removing all traces of SQL server but no changes. So I was wondering if you could help me get Encore Basic file and install instructions. Thanks for any help in advance.

Hey Cr1kk1t, Do you have access to a Win 7 machine? If so just install it on there and then you can copy the entire Respironics folder (and all it's sud folders) to a USB stick and move it to the Win 8.1 machine.

1) Find the application EncoreBasic.exe, and right click it. Click "Properties" and go to the "Compatibility" tab. Check in "Compatibility Mode" Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7

2) Then right click on the EncoreBasic.exe application, and send a shortcut to the desktop and/or the start menu.

If you don't have a Win 7 machine PM me and I'll see if I can help.

Basic won't install on Winows 8.1 but there is a work around to get a working version running. Check PMs in a bit.

Greetings Pugsy,

I have a Respironics, System one (not sure what other numbers there are), and I would like to read the card. I believe that the Encore Pro 2 can do that. I have Windows 7. Any chance of getting a link to get the software?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Brand new to both CPAP (about 1 month from sleep test) and this forum.
I'm really impressed with this forum content and so glad I found it.

I've got a PR REMstar Pro C-Flex+ machine and am running Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), AMD dual core 2200+, 4GB RAM, 2TB of HD space.... Can you point me to the Encore Pro 2 software?

I'd really appreciate it - thanks so much.

Check PMs.

As long as your are not using the model 960 PR S1 machine you can also use SleepyHead software. It's much easier to manage.

Thank you! It works perfectly. Now I just need to figure out what the charts are saying.

What concerns me, the unit says I have 83 AHI's. I just started using the machine, but with me being an engineer, I want to know what happens during the night and this is perfect, gives me each breath cycle and time of each. Now I just need to make sense of everything.

Thanks again!
