Hybrid Mask Reveiw - First Blush (Long)
I just want to take a moment and say "THANK YOU" for all the wonderful updates. Someone should make the manufacturer aware of all the interest this mask is getting on this forum. I see it asked about on other forums but no one but Mikemoran has stepped up to give such a "BLOW by BLOW" description, literally, and please excuse the pun.

I'm not very good with this kind of thing, but I'll give it a try. Go to
https://www.cpap.com/productpage.php?PNum=2204&PAID=301
Scroll down the page and you will find 2 video links.
Hope this helps.

LOL! Esther, I'm sorry. I didn't realize this site had the video on it. I thought it was an outside web site somewhere. And I did look on this site to see the mask and even posted a photo from cpap.com in an earlier post, but never scrolled down to see the video links.
By the way, YOU DONE GOOD!!! The link worked perfectly. Thank you!

Tom,
Minor irritation the first night, none after. No Ayr, no KY and no Neosporin Pain either. I will say the only leaks I have had was a pillow slipping on the outside of my nostril. A quick push with my finger and it re-seated fine.
So far no nostril sores and definitely no bridge sores. My biggest concern to date is I can't rely on my data from my Spirit. I am not sure I am on the correct mask setting. I use the full face mask setting, but I wonder due to volume if I should use another one. Realy need to soend time with the documentation and figure it out. The mask puts out a very stiff stream from the exhaust ports so I wonder if this is why it keeps reporting a big leak. I do not detect any leaks when I have it on, outside the exhaust ports.

I would like to say thank you from those of us with the higher pressures.
You went out of your way to change the settings on your machine just to satisfy our curiosity.
You have answered my two main concerns(facial hair and high pressure).
Tom,
The Swift was my first mask and my first mask to go. Tried it off and on for about three months. Struggled with the hose coming out one side and major nostril irritation. Moved from it to a Breeze but never could handle the skyhook effect when I rolled onto my back. I then went to the Aura which was great in concept but for some reason only barely fit me. The Comfortlites both 1 and 2 were the first that I could actually adjust to my face, so the 2 became my go to pillow system.
I was beginning to think I could never handle pillows, this mask is giving me hope. A lot of it has to dow with the air not be jetted directly up into my nostrils. I know it is moving at the same pressure and there should really be no difference from other pillows when my mouth is closed. Maybe it is the movement across my warm face, but I don't feel like air is stabbing into my nose like I have had with other pillows.

I had the privilege of speaking to the inventor of the Hybrid at the Sleep 2006 show. He actually told me that the air sits in the oral part for a fraction of a second before going through the pillows and this was an intended design feature. He also told me that the pillows would dilate at higher pressures and actually give better seal/less leaks at higher pressures.
Sounds like you have just verified all those claims.
RozTom (and Chuckie),
Where have you guys been? Hopefully you've been traveling, having fun, and healthy.
You've been missed.

Ditto here. I ordered one the 25th of June and I have the same message. If you go to their web site, it does say that they have been delayed and are scheduled to ship on the 30th. I am not sure whether that means they will ship or that is the day they expect them to arrive at their place of business. I am very anxious to try one out.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Join the club. everyone is already sold out.
This thing will be be bigger than the Mirage Swift and Activa. Great way to give teleflex a name in the sleep field.
teleflex has the nasal aire II, too and has all the cannulas (all six, no less) in the package. I think it's in the price range. once these big companies get a hold of these products they can put huge money into it.I just hope the customer services is as good as Innomeds.
Anyone know if their selling the pillows and can we get the pillows, at least? Also, will the pillows fit the breeze? I hear that you can size them to be long or regular. Long if you want them real cushion like, because they are very soft. I need that.

Hybrid Mask
Although I am a newbie, this mask is first I have been able to wear for a full night without changing or just taking it off in the almost three weeks since beginning CPAP. I did wake after four hours with dry mouth and then turned on humidifier to #2 position and slept another 3 1/2 hours and woke with no dry mouth. No sore nares as with other nasal type masks I have tried, some facial marks from tight straps that cleared upon showering. This was my second night with this mask and the first was not a fair trial as I had not selected the correct size...their are nine possible in the kit. One leak in night due to rolling over but easily adjusted away by pulling mask out from face and let it reseal. My pressure is 17cm and I use a Respironics Pro M. I am starting to believe I can make CPAP work for me. Numbers have been good but I have been fighting mask problems since first night until use of this Hybrid. Did have first dream as well early this morning.
