What brightness on the kelvin scale is best? Does the blue in it contribute to apneas. What is Kelvin ? What happened To Lumens did she retire? If LEDS are so cool how come it says 6000k -- Temperature right? Do the new lamps make noise that can keep us awake?

Somehow, anyone can get a little lost:

Maybe you want to use a dictionary before you correct someone. Oxford lists "anal-retentive" as the first correct spelling.
Definition of anal-retentive in English

anal-retentive
Syllabification: (a·nal-re·ten·tive)
Psychoanalysis
adjective

(of a person) excessively orderly and fussy (supposedly owing to conflict over toilet-training in infancy).

noun
(also anal retentive)

a person who is excessively orderly and fussy.

As far as cleaning up mercury from CFL bulbs, itwas hot, I inhaled all the mercury fumes. Then for my safety I had the wife clean the room with a shop vac, so we both got to breath any fumes we missed in the beginning.

I wonder what the EPA would say about the 6 oz of mercury, I keep stored in the basement, I liberated from a four tube manometer. Not as much as why I keep it, you never know when you may want to load up hollow point ammo to be more effective. I usually hit center mass, but I am getting older. Jim

CORRECTION: I found the true cause of the CFL explosion, it wasn't the fault of the cfl, I installed it into a two bulb y adaptor from china, is seems the threads in it were defective, it let the bulb drop to its death. My little peace of mind is relieved. Still a China product problem, I just got the Wrong Wong! Jim

Why not use lite for the spelling?

I thought this was a fun thread , sprinkled with a little half truths. Nice to get away from day to day problems , holidays are a helpful distraction for us all . Not meant to harm anyone hopefully .

We must not forget the one poster who posts the bulb must be lubricated, preferably with yogurt or kimchee,
and the 2nd guy from the extreme right needs to breathe into a paper bag.
