Stormy, as with the others, I am continuing to keep you daily in my thoughts and prayers. It is at times like this when it seems that nothing is changing/improving quick enough or in the way I want, to remind myself that when all is said and done, things asked for in prayer are never answered in my time, but His. My duty is to continue to faithfully trust and pray.

John

It sounds like lymphedema. You should get that checked out.

Welcome Dr. Phillip. I see it's your first post and I don't mean to "rag on you", but . . .

If you start on page 1, you'll see that Stormy was correctly advised to seek IMMEDIATE medical attention for her sudden leg swelling, and she turned out to have several DVTs, some of them already in her lungs. A suggestion that it "might be lymphedema" might have made her hesitate to get immediate medical attention and cost her her life. She is currently in the ICU.

It's not a great idea to seek medical advice on the Internet for just this reason, but I'm proud to say our members did a good job of pushing her to seek immediate medical attention rather than throwing out random diagnostic suggestions.

Janknitz, you have won my respect. If you ever feel I am unfair to you, please remind me of this moment.

Oh Stormy, I am so happy to hear that you are improving, though it may not really feel like it. Do they anticipate oxygen for the long-term, or until the clots break up? I do know blood thinners can really affect how one feels physically.

Ugh

Oh, Stormy! I'm so glad you're getting out of the woods!
My eyes are wet--seriously! I'm so relieved.
Everything else will be slow; you've been through a lot.
Suck up all that nice oxygen--your body needs it to heal.

So glad to hear that you are going home!! You may feel like crap right now but you will probably feel better when you get home where you can get some real rest.

Hi Stormy, if you really, really feel like crap maybe you should let the Drs know even if you have to stay another day or two. Sending hugs!
