My mind immediately went to Bob Marley's song when I read the post title!

Congrats, Froggy.

Now we'll have more time for our rendezvous.

And don't let the Bullfrog see this.

I'm like that with coca-cola. Also the fact that its everywhere and easy to buy. Also bottled water is expensive!

Yeah. I don't have many vices: coffee, peanut butter, pop-tarts. It's all I ask for.

Congrats, you lucky ol froggy you!!

I have to ask you guys...about the coffee thing. I drink a lot of coffee. I do this because my brain just doesn't "wake up". They say it is part of fibromyalgia..but I don't know if that is it really. I admit because I don't feel refreshed and alert I drink a lot of coffee. I cut it off by 10 or 11 and don't drink anymore though...sometimes a cup of tea.

So, my question is..did you find much difference when you cut back? I guess this question is for those who drank more than two cups a day.

Thanks guys

I have found that the reasons why I have coffee now are different than before being on PAP therapy. I used to wake-up literally exhausted and most days with a low O2 migraine like headache, which some of those days was so bad it was it was completely debilitating. Coffee became not about enjoyment (like it is now) but about survival from the fatigue and its medicinal qualities (at least for me) with the headaches.

Now I find that I can occasionally go through the day without having it, but it feels like I am being almost punished because of the complete love I have of the taste, aroma, and overall enjoyment of the coffee experience . So in time, the longer you progress in your PAP therapy you may find that the amount of coffee may or may not change but the reasons for consuming it perhaps will. Unfortunately, having other medical issues though can add problems that may necessitate the use/dependency on coffee.

By the way I don't consider anything smaller than a 16oz mug (20oz preferred) to be a 'cup' of coffee... I mean let's be real here people

Oh, I completely forgot to congratulate you CF on your retirement!!! The announcement should be front page news here, not mixed in with a wonderful thread about Coffee, but here it is nonetheless. You do know that you can't retire from here though, as we hose heads need our Chunky Frog, just like we coffee heads need our Coffee

Congrats to Chunky Frog. I retired officially last Sept. My company moved to Chicago a couple of months earlier and I elected not to go along with them so I spent a few months looking around up in my neck of the woods. Nada! I'm really enjoying not having to drive to and from work in the nasty weather. It's one of the best perks of retiring for me. I've been drinking coffee since I was 11 yrs old. I remember what great fun it was to sit at the table then with my parents, drinking coffee and feeling so grown up. I usually have two cups in the morning and sometimes one after lunch. My whole family are coffee fanatics. It's a way of life for us. Coffee and retirement...a great match!

Same here.

Now I drink coffee mostly for the pleasure of the taste. This was especially so when I was on holiday. Finding little gourmet coffee shops and enjoying a cappuccino and a pastry was pure pleasure.
