some data advice.

Post by icetlv » Mon May 06, 2013 6:19 am

Hello

First of all hello. I am since long time reading this forum and taking a lot of advice, but never posted.
I am since 4 years on cpap. Switch about 3 months ago to a S9 device and am very happy with it.

My question is as follow : since I was diagnosticed with an index of 15 I never did any follow up or tests.

What can be say from the data I pulled today from the S9 using SleephyHead ?

Does it looks good ?

Thanks for your input.

(I dont know how to insert image, so here the details) :

Last 3 months :
Mode : Auto
Min/Max pressure : 4.00 / 12.00
Days : 72
AHI : 0.61
Avergae pressure : 6.61
95% Pressure : 11.08
Average Leaks : 1.55
95% Leaks : 13.20

Data averages look good.
I have a SleepyHead tutorial of sorts that goes into some detail explaining what you are seeing.

Your AHI is really nice and low. There's no urgent need to do anything different.
Some people would suggest increasing the minimum of 4 cm but if you are comfortable with it the machine seems to be able to do a good job from there then there's no critical need to change it. If your AHI was a lot higher then yeah..maybe more minimum but it's really hard to improve on AHI less than 1.0 and I wouldn't even try.

Thanks for you help !

I feel I went from prehistory to modern times when I switched from a Devilbiss Auto Cpap machine with some unknown china made mask full of leaks to a Resmed s9 with FX mirage.

My sleep time jumped from 5 to over 7 hours per night !
