Need Encore Basic

Post by thegregster » Fri Mar 29, 2013 10:54 am

I just received my new PR System One BiPAP Pro and am in search of software. Several from this board seem to recommend Encore Basic over Encore Viewer. I'm running Windows 8 64 bit. Can someone hook me up with a source?

Thanks.

I don't know if Encore will run on Windows 8, but there's every reason to expect that it will. Your machine is, I believe, also compatible with SleepyHead software, but you'll need the patch.
Look at Uncle Bob's signature for Encore. Look at Pugsy's for information on SleepyHead....

Encore Basic installer won't work on Windows 8. Several have worked around it by installing it on a Windows 7 machine and then copying it into Windows 8. It runs fine on Windows 8 just won't install. I have a copy that was installed on my Windows 7 if you want to try it I sent you the link in a PM.

I have Encore basic running on my windows eight...... got it from Pugsy. Send her a pm and she will set you in the right direction. "where there's a will, there's a way" and Pugsy has the "will" and usually will figure out the "way"

Yeah....I'm using Sleepyhead on my Mac.

Pugsy asked if i had Encore, but I didn't think there was a Mac version based upon a quick search.

I forgot you had a Mac.....no there is no Mac version of any Encore product. Only way to use Encore on a Mac is to set up a virtual Windows environment for it.

Kinda OT. But has anyone tried this ap or resscan on linux with Wine? Wondering if that would work.. I have dual boot win 7 and Ubuntu on the machine I pull my data on. Haven't tried in Ubuntu... as it works just fine in win 7.

Hello, I am also looking for the Encore Basic 2.5 software. I checked Uncle_Bob's signature as recommended above and it simply says goodnight.

I have had a Respironics cflex+ for the last 5 years and just received a new Respironics DS560 today. The card reader never worked in my previous machine so I never really bothered with it, but with the new machine, I would like to take a look.

Can someone please assist me in locating this. I have looked in some of the normal places on the internet to find software, but the best I could find was version 1.8.

Thank you.

Using an older version of viewer which does not work on 64-bit. The newer version of Basic is OK on Win7 x64?

If so a working link would be greatly appreciated. I am keeping an older PC just to run this.

Yes, Encore Basic installs easily and works just fine on a Windows 7 (and older) and 64 bit (and 32) computer.
Failures have been rare.
Check your PM box.

BTW...Encore Basic will work just fine on Win 8 computers but it won't install. The problem is a conflict with the installer and Windows 8. Bypass the installer and it works fine. Involves getting a copy of an already installed on older computer and pasting it on the Windows 8 computer.
