Congratulations on getting it straight.

Some important points that get a lot of people screwed, or at least confused.

There are

S9 AutoSet
S9 Escape Auto

There is no such thing as:

S9 Auto
S9 AutoSet Escape.

I believe that is a violation of Medicare rules, and most insurance companies follow Medicare guidelines. That is, IF the doctor directly benefits from the sale of the DME to a patient. If the doctor is on a salary employed by a larger firm, and that firm also owns the DME business, it's iffy about the conflict of interest if the doctor does not get a bonus, or whatever, that is impacted by the DME sales.

Its not your business what they think of you. Only thing that matters is that you get what you need. So don't feel bad about being a pita. Remember they are not only being pitas, they are being lying dirt bags as well. You gave every right to fight them.

I bet places like this really hate this site and the internet in general.

Love it-- being a pita is just fine. Being a lyin' dirt bag on the other hand... well, there was a time in Texas where that was just unacceptable and someone would quickly resolve their lyin' dirt bagginess.

Then again in the modern era, some seem to have lost perspective that being a dirt bag is a character flaw.

Bravo for taking control and not getting screwed over!

Just be sure you get a copy of your script so you can get set up for masks and supplies somewhere else... Only way I'd stay with them after getting your machine is if this all turned into some kind of management escalation because you were working with someone incompotent and they recognize they screwed up and were fixing it permanently.

Just got home from switching out my machines. It was AWESOME. They were so polite, didn't charge me a dime, and I left with my brand new (-0- run hours, I checked) S9 Autoset. Now, hopefully I can remember how to set everything up, practice with it a little this afternoon, and figure out how to get my stats.

Thanks everyone, for all the help!

Be proud, stand tall! If you hadn't stood up for yourself, you'd be stuck with a brick or out 120 bucks. Way to go!

Now here's to hoping you're a duck (one who takes to CPAP like a duck takes to water). But if not, we're here to help.

I'm really proud of myself I do tend to stand up for myself pretty well but it was having the help and info from this group that made the difference. Definitely.
