Anybody else trying to get stuff done before Ocare starts?

Post by Suddenly Worn Out » Tue Mar 05, 2013 3:29 pm

Im trying to get as much done this year, before obama care begins next year. I have a sneaking suspicion the first couple years of obama care is going to be a huge clusterf*ck. I am assuming a lot of people are going to die from mistakes and bureaucratic bs and a lot of doctors are going to be quitting medicine. A lot of changes are coming and most people dont understand all the myriad of details of obamacare. Ive got a copy of the Supreme Court decision I got off my LexisNexis account. Its long. Its complicated as hell.

I decided this year "I better get anything done I know about NOW, before obama care kicks in." Then I figure if I cannot pay for it directly out of pocket, I might be SOL on some things I might need. Im figuring it will take the federal government five years at least to get obamacare really figured out and ironed out before it possibly becomes a truly workable medical care system.

Im expecting at least 100,000 people in the next few years to either die or be hospitalized because of stupidity that will occur when obamacare first goes into clinical effect. I dont want to be one of them.

Eric

The only stupidity is people who think that there is actually a "real" difference between the modern US dual political party system.

As for modern healthcare .... it has been corrupted by corporate profit for many years now and recent political association is merely a manifestation of the fascist state our government has morphed into.

Hundreds of thousands already die from senseless surgeries like the type you propose in another thread.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I've only been doing this for about 6 months, so I been using my DME on a monthly basis to get back-up supplies.

no rush to get it all before obama care kicks in...

Ive found myself suddenly going into "high speed mode" regarding getting some things done Ive been thinking about for years. Getting my ear, nose and throat situation straightened out soon. Getting fitted for another full face mask thats less bothersome. Trying to get my testosterone situation resolved (I recently accomplished that, btw).

While feeling better is the big motivator, the other "motivator" is the knowledge that in another year or so, things are gonna change REAL BIG for medical stuff. I strongly suspect people with chronic medical problems are gonna be suffering soon. Suffering more than they are now. I dont believe obama care is going to fix the system, I think it is going to make the system worse.

I saw my primary care doctor the day the Supreme Court handed down that obama care decision last June. He walked into my waiting room looking like he wanted to cry. I had never seen him look like that before. I am really expecting a lot of physicians to just up and quit medicine in the next few years in the USA. I think many of them have just had it with being paid poorly considering their education levels, their student loan debt levels, the paper work they now have to deal with from insurance and soon from the government. I really think a lot of them are just disgusted with the whole thing and am expecting an influx of foreign trained doctors into the USA, who are already used to socialized medicine and just want a green card and a way to become a U.S. citizen, fast.

You make a lot of assumptions on this forum and most all of them are wrong.

At least you're a consistent jackass.

I'm just waiting until I get old. That way I'll get pain pills (wheeee!) instead of "expensive procedures" (those hurt anyway)

LOL

I honestly believe if obama care required all the obese people in the country to get their stomachs stapled, three quarters of the medical problems in the USA would go away. Honest, I believe that.

Obesity is ruining the USA.

The rest of the developed world switched to universal health care with nary a hitch decades ago. I guess your guys just aren't all that competent?

There are a lot of people down here that dont want to be competent when it comes to the government providing stuff to people. Its a principle thing down here. There are a lot of people down here that want all government out of their lives as much as is humanly possible and just want to make a lot of money.
