About Obamacare, economists at Duke University calculated that if every American actually got all of the recommended screenings and tests, the average primary care physician would have to spend 7 ½ hours of every working day doing nothing else but giving preventive care to mainly healthy patients!
Those Democrat morons threw everything including the kitchen sink into the bill.

CG,

I thought the issue of preventative care transcended democratic morons:) It seems for years, physicians have been recommending various preventative tests without anyone truly studying whether the costs and negatives outweighed the benefits

For example, when the issue of whether mammograms were necessary for people under 50 came up, I had a relative who was very upset about those being eliminated. But another relative who was quite knowledgeable about the statistics and is one of those democratic morons that you speak of:) had figured out that the very miniscule additional savings of lives didn't justify the costs. I wish I could remember the exact statistics this person quoted.

The other problem I see and it has nothing to do with politics is that physicians are programmed to provide one size fits all treatment and if you dare question that, god help you.

So you don't want to take credit for this huge mess? Democrats and their lackeys wrote the bill in private and said, "We have to pass it to know what is in it."

Now don't try to insult me by saying something about Republicans. I do not trust them to write a healthcare bill either.

We don't need such a law. We just need to repeal Obamacare and much of the law and licensing requirements that previous generations of lawmakers (federal and state) have foisted on us.

Slope,

One of the first conversations I had after Obama was elected in 2008 was with a Democratic co-worker in which I said, "He had better keep his damm pants on." She laughed.

Someone whose name escaped me did a skit on this in which the Michelle Obama character was threatening her husband if he dared have any affairs.

All jokes said, while I certainly don't condone what Clinton did, personally, I think lying about having sex with an intern is not as serious as other lies just as Bush lying there was weapons of mass destruction or Reagan lying about Iran/Contra.

And by the way, if a Republican lied about having sex, I would feel the same way about it not being as serious as other issues.

CG,

As an FYI, I wanted single payer as I feel it is alot less costly and would be alot more efficient than Obamacare. But that had about as much chance of happening as my apnea getting cured.

So not having health insurance, it is better than nothing and has already helped many people, particularly kids with preexisting conditions who previously had no chance of getting health insurance.

The issue is that it is criminal that people are dying from lack of health insurance or go bankrupt due to not having adequate coverage through not fault of their own. I know you previous said those were scare tactics but you are wrong.

I am bleeping tired of this being a political issue as human lives are at stake including folks on this board who don't have insurance. I am stunned that so many of you don't see that irony or maybe you don't want to see it.

it is better than nothing
How can I argue with someone whose standards are that low???

Do you really think any legislation is better than nothing??

There is no legislation covering color TV ownership but 96% of the population has one or more.

People are very resourceful about getting what they need and want if the government stays out of their way.
I am stunned that so many of you don't see that irony or maybe you don't want to see it.
Stay stunned. What is really shocking is how many people are unable to see that Obamacare is going to make medical care in shorter supply and of higher cost while destroying jobs of people who would otherwise be able to pay for medical care.

You, by way of your support of the Democrat party, are responsible for the disaster that is upon us.

There is no free lunch.

CG,

I love how you and your fellow anti Obama Care zealots ignore the issues I raised about people dying from lack of health insurance. I also love how you chose to respond in a disrespectful manner.

But then again, I should know better so I am at fault.

Anyway, I gotta stop wasting time and get on with my day. Of course, I could live to regret that statement. LOL!

Mindless scare tactic leading us to mindless solutions that cause bigger problems.

Cite one example of a person who died "from lack of health insurance".

How about many studies that show the impact:

Edit: An unrelated example was removed.

Lack of insurance matters. Lack of insurance can lead to death. Access to healthcare without insurance is NOT always guaranteed in this country .. even though it should be. And that includes emergency rooms.

CG... I actually gave you credit for being smarter than that. Do you really think that people who don't have insurance, can't afford to see doctors or get the medication they must have in order to stay well, don't die from lack of health insurance? You have got to be kidding People standing on street corners comes to mind.

If you are so smart, then answer my simple challenge,
