Just wanted to report back to those that were on this post...the setup I had mentioned worked great!!

Powerstation $68, Resmed 12 volt cabling $75....being able to sleep soundly while camping....PRICELESS

This is great info. I was looking to find something similar for my hubby to use when we go camping.

Can you tell me, does that power unit make noise (I am thinking it does when it's running)?
And if so, is it loud?

We are scheduled to go camping, but can't have a loud unit running all night. (even those electric air mattress pumps are too noisy to run for more than a couple minutes - it annoys other campers)

It is perfectly silent. I just got back from a 2 week vacation and I can tell you it worked great! Great price for them at costco right now, or they are available on Amazon too. You can charge the powerstation from your cigarette lighter in your car or from any 110v outlet.

Yes, and that would make it a non-starter for me. But for those who have the machine, it looks like the easiest way to get a battery backup is to buy their own Power Station II (RPS II.

The resmed DC "power brick" and cabeling ($75) takes care of the proper voltage. Just add an inexpensive power station as noted in above posts and you are good!

Sloop, sorry but not for $500-$700 fro a battery pack. That's nuts in my world.

Have you tried running it on the AC outlets of your power station?

this one doesn't have a built in inverter...so I can't try it from any built in outlets...it does work great from the cigarette lighter power point though!

The Resmed DC Converter 24V/90W (Product Code 36970) will run an S9 of a 12V DC power source.
