My preferences in order would be:
1) S9 Autoset
2) S9 Elite
3) PR System One Remstar Pro with C-Flex +
Please look at these machines and yay or nay.

And now they have sent me the S9 Elite after I specifically requested the Autoset.
It's the weekend now for me. It will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday when our post office is open again.
Why must some people be so difficult?

Take a look at the link in my signature, IMHO there seems to be a problem with newer S9s. Just something to consider.

Recordings of (2) RESMED S9 Autoset machines that I tried that make the "coooing" sound.

The Elite is still a great machine, full data, just doesn't have an apap mode. It depends on how important being able to use apap is to you.dragonflybeach wrote:And now they have sent me the S9 Elite after I specifically requested the Autoset.

Re: Please look at these machines and yay or nay.
That was my conundrum last night when I saw it was the Elite. It's a great machine but not what I requested (ins says I can have the autoset). This DME is non-communicative. They're not sending emails when the item ships and not responding to emails for request of info.RandyJ wrote:The Elite is still a great machine, full data, just doesn't have an apap mode. I've lost 15 lbs with another 50 to go. I suppose the jury is out if that will make a difference.
My titration study was uncomfortable to say the least. I had one panic inducing nightmare. Kept waking up feeling panicked. Couldn't sleep on my side without massive leaks.....into my eyes and the sides near the lower corners. My doc said it would be better in my own bed and when I'm able to adjust the mask myself. The study says I was on my side but it was more like a 30 degree angle off my back - not exactly comfortable but my backside was getting sore.
Thank you for the assistance.

Re: Please look at these machines and yay or nay.
Dragonfly, at your stage of treatment I would go only for the S9 Autoset.
IMO, your titration results are most likely faulty, as my were when a year and a half ago they prescribed me an optimal pressure of 5 to 6 cm on CPAP. And consequently "they" gave me an S9 Elite. Luckily, after a month I bought an S9 Autoset out of my own pockets and used it in APAP mode to do a self titration which came out to 13 cm as optimal pressure. Only a year later during a repeat study the truth was revealed.
S9 Autoset:

p.s. if you have to lose another 50 lbs it means that you weigh now about 250 lbs. 25 lbs more than I. Put your photo in your Avatar so that we could watch your progress.
