Problems viewing PRS1 data

Post by adipasqu » Fri Jun 17, 2011 8:09 pm

All,

I had my first nights sleep with my new machine last night and I'm trying to download my data. In Encore Viewer, I get an error that says "The therapy data on the media is not valid and was not saved. Contact Product Support for assistance." I get a similar error in Encore Pro and my data crash onkor.net. Has anyone seen this with their data and is there some workaround?

Thanks in advance.

What are the Versions of Viewer and Pro you are using?

Have you tried Sleepyhead?

Using Encore Viewer 2.0.23.0
Using Encore Pro 2.4.12.2

Sleepyhead fails as well. I have a brand new type of machine. Could it be so new that it is not yet supported by any software? Seems weird that no program works.

Ok well it is possible the files on the card are corrupt. You can try running a scandisk or use another card.

So I ran scandisk on the card and it found a file with an incorrect file size. It says it fixed it, but Encore Viewer still cannot read the data. Should I just wipe the card clean and start a new tonight?

Thanks

Or get another 2GB SD card and try it. It's a standard SD card, you don't need a special Respironics card.

Mis-handling these cards will cause that. If you remember what floppy disks were like handle these the same way. It is Esp. easy to forget to "Eject" the card before just pulling the card out of the computer.

Losing one night's data shouldn't be a big deal.
Possible sources of the problem:
1) Card not inserted properly in SD slot. Since it wrote something to the card, this is unlikely. Format and try again.
2) Card is corrupted. Try formatting the card and try again. Just put it into the machine, wait a few minutes, and then check to see if the base files are recorded. You might even use the machine for 10 - 15 minutes to see if the data files are recorded.
3) Card is damaged. Try a new 2GB SD card.
4) PRS1 interface is damaged. Contact your DME for repair or replacement. This assumes you tried 1,2,and 3 and they all failed.

I formatted the SD card this morning and will try it again tonight. It's a 4 GB card, by the way, and it formatted without any problem, so I guess its still good. If it fails again tonight, I'll get the DME to get me a new machine.

I would you be interested in seeing a set of your data files.. It could full well be supported before Encore does.

Still not working. Option 4 looks like the most likely scenario now. I will contact Apria tomorrow for a replacement.

I'm having the exact same problem with my brand new PRS1 BiPAP AutoSV. Same error message in Encore Viewer 2.0. Also Sleepyhead seems to import OK (no errors) but shows no data. I reformated the SD card and tried again the next day and got the same results. I can see the proper .001, .002, and .005 files on the card.

What was the resolution to your problem? Did a new SD card work? Or did you have to replace the machine???

You'll be glad to know I've nearly finished rewriting the PRS1 module..

I found out why certain ASV machines where showing blanks, a0 duration, because I made a silly assumption in the .001 summary file format.
Also discovered that when the SD card is left out, .001 & .002 files have repeating blocks, which were not being processed in the old loader. This required a fairly big cleanup in the loader.

Also, I figured it's better to import .000 files in brick machines, as overview charts showing usage, session times and settings data is at least worth/ something.. I need a nice picture of a brick to display in the daily panel though.. I'm very disgusted they don't at least store the AHI..

Hopefully I can get a clear head tonight/tomorrow and iron out the bugs, then I'll upload a new build..

Encore Viewer is not compatible with the new 60 series machines.

I will send you a private message in a bit with some information on what will work.
