If we are thinking about the same person Madalot, and I think we are.. The person themselves does not strike me as a troll. Between what they have posted here and at apneasupport I think they are rather confused, and probbly not running on all cylinders. I say this just because of what they have said and how it comes accross. Yes some of the things they have done and said are outlandish.. But they follow the same theme. As for not responding.. Well a true troll I think would have risen to the bait more.

However there is a troll out there who posts as guest a lot, who I think also posted as a name that was very close to this other posters account. Which in my mind would have been troll activity like. Course he could just be a troll pretending to troll his own accounts. If he is though, he is at least smart engouth to alter how he posts with his trolling the troll account...

Trolls..... Go figure.

So I kept blocking out their numbers when they call, but I apparently can only block about 20 numbers at a time, so they still get through.
Report them to the phone company and consumer protection agencies as harassing phone calls.

Ok, I NEED to know who you are talking about so I can go back in the posts and judge for myself. I love judging. I am a mere 64 years old but I do get the eye rolls on occasion letting me know that I repeat myself or have asked something a little 'off.

I still think it is a mental illness issue....or a narcissist. They cannot detect 'other'. It is always about them.

Some people have broken receivers. They are only able to transmit so they don't hear responses.

...or it's a troll

or an old troll.

Well, at least she won't remember you yelling at her.

Most of the people like telephone solicitors or collection agencies are probably paid based on a tight time schedule. I've always thought that if you waste as much of their time as possible, you're doing them the maximum amount of harm you can. Be chatty with the telemarketer, or see if you can waste some time for the collection agency. It might be funny to give the collection agency some other numbers to call or addresses to check out to see if they can find him. Tell them you think he might work at the office of some DME you don't like.

I had some scumbag collection agency that kept having their lowlife scum agents call me pretending to be friends of the guy they were after. They called me because I had the same first initial and last name as their target. I told them politely the first few times that that was not my name and I didn't know him, but they kept calling, using different people and different scams to get information.

Oooh, oooh, I know this one! Me! Me! Call on ME!

As a general rule, at least in spoken English, anyone older than the one speaking is often spoken of as "old." Anyone younger than the one making a statement is considered "young."

And you, Dori, are the perfect age--ageless.

Please know that I meant no offense to anyone, of any age. My husband's grandmother is 97 and has been blessed to be able to continue to live on her own. Not everyone is that fortunate -- and that's more of what I was referring to.

I've told my older sister (she was 19 when I was born) when she says she feels old -- you're not old until you're dead. When you're dead, you can comment to me about being old. Until then, age is just a number.

This woman continues to call here, every night, looking for her husband. Sometimes, I just don't feel like talking to her so I let it go to the machine. Sometimes she hangs up, but sometimes she doesn't realize it's an answering machine and starts demanding that the machine speak to her.

I feel horrible for her.

My original point was that I was so sure she was a bill collector and treated her as such, until the truth behind the situation was revealed. Now I treat her very differently, with more kindness and compassion.

Sadly, it may be time to ask the care center to restrict her use of the phone. You may not be the only being subjected to calls from her looking for some past relative.

I tried to request this, but she seems to be back in an apartment (assisted living perhaps) and is calling from her own phone number. I thought about blocking her number through the phone company, but I feel so badly for her that I am almost afraid to do that. I want to be nice to her -- it's not her fault......

yes virginia there is a santa clause. he lives in our hearts and our minds.
reading your post reminded me of the story from which that quote came from. if only we were all just a little more caring and compassionate the world would be a better place.
