Re: O.T. Why your Avatar?
I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with sleeping and bad mood if not getting enough sleep...

De-bugging is for sissies, real men do de-monstrations.
Re: O.T. Why your Avatar?
In the Funny Bone topic Starlette changed her avatar to a hamster. That reminded me of the video I took of a chipmunk enjoying a Twinkie. Several years ago during an annual ATV outing in the mountains of Central Idaho we stopped for lunch. Someone tossed part of a twinkie out and this chipper found it right away. As he was munching it you could just see sheer enjoyment in his face. He ate the whole thing and then went and smeared his face in the dust to get the sticky off it. One of the funniest things I've ever watched with wild animals.

Ameriken was being mean to hamsters. So to show my protest and in support of hamsters, I changed my avatar to a hamster

Because I am a cartoonist and Howie Mandel's Bobby's World was an inspiration to me in creating cartoon character and stories of my own, Ultimately, I want to have my own cartoon series thats educational for preschoolers, currently, I have 14 characters of my own, with Breathie the little CPAAP machine being my latest creation, based on my Fisher&Paykel sleepstyle 200 CPap machine.

In the 4 months I have been a member of this forum, I have changed my avatar 5 times. I change it with my changing mood. I have had some positive comments about some of them. The current one is here because I am a sleepy bear who fights the urge to hibernate.

Mine is an alpine wildflower and I've always felt like I breathe best in the wide open spaces of the alpine tundra. Of course, now I've found that the high altitude gives me central apnea so maybe it's not the greatest to live at 8000 feet.

Re: O.T. Why your Avatar?
I just changed mine b/c I had a few days this month (after 8 months of struggling with CPAP therapy) when I felt clear and cool in my forehead and behind my eyes for part of most of whole days. Like stepping outside on a cool morning, where everything is so fresh, kind of moist, and sweet. I kept feeling like I had a window in my head. I searched around online for the right image of a window in someone's forehead but didn't find one. But this picture captures the sensation well enough. Since those few days, I have come down with a headcold, so I'm back to pickled eyes and a cobwebby brain. But I want to remember that it is possible to feel that cool, sweet, feeling of wellbeing in my head: I have felt that way. I'm hoping my avatar will help me visualize my way into feeling that way regularly.
Epworth Sleepiness Scale: 14
Diagnostic study: overall AHI: 0.2 events/hour; overall RDI: 45 events/hour
Titration study: AHI: 6.1; RDI: 27; CPAP pressures: 5-8cm
Not-tired behind my eyes and with a clear, cool head!
