ResScan - Any way to tell OSA's from CA's?

Post by thegregster » Wed Oct 19, 2011 3:32 pm

I recently started dowloading info from my Resmed VPAP-S (similar to Resmed S8 Series) into ResScan 3.14. Is there any way to distinguish central apneas from obstructive apneas? Am I corect in assuming the AI and AHI numbers include both types?

S8 machines did not score/record centrals. S8 machines scored obstructive apneas and Hyponea events.

In ResScan and using the S9 machines the AI (is apneas + centrals)...AHI would be the AI plus the hyponeas.
Centrals are flagged separately from the Obstructive apneas by the S9 machine.

To see if you are having any centrals you would need to upgrade to S9 full data machine.
