My cats at home pretty much stay out of my bedroom, since my dog has claimed that as his spot. So nobody touches my tubing there.

My friend's cat has a reputation for destroying things, so I play it safe when I stay at her house. Every morning, I pull the hose off the machine and throw the hose/mask assembly in my case and zip it up for safe keeping.

We have a rule in our house:
All our dogs sleep in our rooms, all our cats stay outdoors, or in the garage.

Get some Warfarin (aka Rat Poison) and scatter the pills all around your tube... problem solved in a few hours.

Two indoor-outdoor cats avoid the hose and when on the bed they stare at it as if it were a snake. Evidently they know something about reptiles.

However one cat has awakened me a few times by touching my eyelids with a gloved paw, I think to make sure I'm OK.

Slarty! The cat may have been observing your REM eye movements.
Just trying to chase out whatever is crawling around behind your eyelids.

When Christopher (75# dog) was a pup he ate a few gel masks and head gear, it got expensive. He also fanged a hose or two. Now that he is all grown up I've had no problems, in several years.

He always has a 14" dog bowl full of ice cubes, 3-4 times I've woken up with a grapefruit size glob of ice cubes melting beside me in the bed or on my chest. I broke him of that habit.

Day afer Christmas Petsmart had 48" rawhide candy canes half off. Christopher has been known to club me in the head when he has one end in his mouth and he turns around in bed. We worked it out. Since he is done teething he seldom chews on any ride hide any more.

In general he enjoys munching on his MegaChews in bed, but only if I am in bed with him. Nothing better than a snuggle and a meal all at the same time.

My cat went across the Rainbow Bridge but when he was with me he never bothered the hose. My dachshund I do have to watch. She does like to lick the air comming out the mask exaust. Does not bother the hose while I am using it but I suspect that if I left it where she could get to it during the day when she gets board it would most likely end up in pieces.
