OT- Hi!, My name is Breathie, the Little CPAP!

Post by Breathie1 » Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:59 am

Hello everybody!!, My name is BREATHIE the CPAP machine, I belong to a little boy named Joey, he has Sleep Apnea, and I am here to help him by giving him the air he needs to feel better while he sleeps!

I am very happy that i was picked to be Joey's CPAP machine, I am only a little boy CPAP, If I was a human, I would be like a 7 year old boy, and BOY do I feel excited to be a helper to my new little friend Joey. he is a nice boy, He likes to draw and write stories.

Oh, when you see my picture, i want to tell you that THAT is not me, but i look LIKE that CPAP machine in the picture, I am really a BLUE CPAP machine, and I have eyes, and a mouth, I also have arms and feet to walk, but my legs are little, I'll let you see what I really look like when I can take a picture of myself to put it on here!!

I have been working with my friend Joey for 28 days now!..YAY!!!!, and joey says he feels so much better now when he wakes up, I feel happy knowing that i am making him feel better. and i won't ever stop helping him, He needs me.

Ok everybody, I am going to come back later and talk to you more soon, Have a good day everybody!!

Love and Hugs,
Breathie CPAP

I got ripped off... I want a machine with eyes and a mouth and arms and feet. I'm so jealous.

I think that would mean someone is giving you CPR
Thinking of quitting CPAP?

No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:

Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.

Greetings Breathie! We are really glad you are there to help Joey! It is wonderful you are there to help him. You know, I never thought to check if my machines had a name. They all just went by their working name "Breathe Machine". That would be like calling every dog you met "Dog". It would get confusing pretty fast!

It really is wonderful you are there to help Joey at an early age. Though I have used various Breathe Machines for 20 years now, I am certain that I developed sleep apnea when I was only 13. In the case of Joey, it is possible when he hits his growth spurt during early teens (most boys go through that at about the same age) he might outgrow the need for you. Or he might continue to need you. Fortunately Joey's doctors know how to check for sleep problems. By being there to help him, you will not just help Joey feel better, but be much better able to handle his normal routine.

So do let us know how you and Joey are doing. As the two of you adjust to one another you might encounter what appears to be insurmountable problems. But you never know. With all the experience of all the users on this forum, we might just have a new twist that we found helps.

So, once again, welcome!

Hi There!!,

Thank you for the nice comments sir, yes, I DO want to help my master Joey through his sleeping problem, he has had a little problem with me the 1st few times he had to use me, the pressure i had to give him was I think a shock to him.. ...I didn't mean to make him shocked!! but his mommy and daddy has told him about my RAMP feature and now he uses that feature before he goes down to sleep, he now goes to sleep much better then before..YAYYY!!

Oh, I wanted to tell you all, that I do know that CPAP machine in my picture...I know him because...HE'S MY DADDY!!! HEEHEE! ..My daddy is a F&P Sleepstyle 200 CPAP, and my mommy is a RESMED S8 Escape 2 CPAP., I got my blueness from my mommy.

Love and hugs!,
Breathie CPAP

This is the same person as this thread just using his imagination to make up a story which some of us asked for.

Children's book illustrator and author.
He just happened to post this story when we had an unexpected scourge of game players that just wanted to mess with us. So we were understandably gun shy.

Perhaps. However, I've been in communication with more than one parent about a child that has apnea issues. How do we discriminate between valid and invalid posters. We can not.

Even if someone does get a twisted sense of joy out of creating such a story, the lessons taught remain valid. I would rather reach out and teach others (even if the OP is not sincere). Then if the OP is valid, so much the better. If not, others learn.
