OT -Life with Breathie, the CPAP machine
Hello all,
It is now 23 days with little Breathie, and we are getting along real good, it has been giving me continous therapy and trying to make me feel better, And i really do appreciate it.
I just finished a 2 hour nap with breathie and I feel goooooodd!.....I told Breathie and it blinked it's screen., That told me it was happy. HEEHEE
If you haven't figured this out right now yet, I am a very creative person, I'm a cartoonist and children's book writer, Back 5 years ago when I bought my 1st new car, I named it Wheelie, and i began to write stories based on Wheelie's point of view as a happy little CUV living with me and searving my transportation needs. and Now that I have little Breathie here with me, I feel like doing the same thing and have Breathie write to you about its day serving me! ..HEEHEEHEE, Let me know what you think of my idea!, I love to tell and create stories, I might even draw a cartoon of Breathie to show you! , I feel excited already about this! HAAHAA!.
Ok, Chat later all, happy CPAPing!

Please do your creative magic. I would love to see it.
I don't have a creative bone in my body when it comes to composition.
I am glad you are feeling up to being creative again. Something must be working well with Breathie.

Sure, I'd love to hear the adventures of Breathie!
When my daughter and I watch baseball, we frequently refer to some of the players as Pitchie, Catchie, Fieldie, so I actually laughed out loud, sitting at my desk by myself at work, when I read "Breathie!"

ALL RIGHT!!!, I will now start THE ADVENTURES OF BREATHIE THE CPAP MACHINE!!!! , Look for Breathie to start telling you all about his day soon!!..(LOL, If Fisher and Paykel Healthcare were to look at what I am about to do with their CPAP Sleepstyle 200 machine, turning it into a HAPPY WIDE EYED TALKING CPAP, They will probably want to take credit for the idea..LOL, but I Wont put their logo on my cartoon of Breathie, he will just be in the shape of a F&P CPAP.

We lead him astray. OP was just commenting on success on cpap which lots of people do and that certainly is not OT.

Re: Life with Breathie, the CPAP machine
I am starting on Breathie's overall look, It will take on the shape of a F&P Sleepstyle CPAP, but I will move things around so I dont make it look exactly like the real machine, also, Breathie will be blue in color with a white trim, I may put a Racy looking letter B on his side. B stands for BREATHIE of course! , I also may have him take on a childlike appearance, I want breathie to look cute.
Ok, I'll let you know when I have finished with Breathie's look, i wonder if i can post a picture of him when Im done. I'll find out
Happy CPAPing!

Re: Life with Breathie, the CPAP machine
Here's how I post images. I use screen shots.
Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

Clarification between Breathie1, and CPAPMAN11
Hi Everyone, It's Jose, I would like to clarify something that I've realized that the people here are becoming confused with...
I am a children's book writer and cartoonist. I also have sleep apnea that I'm being treated with a CPAP machine...I came here to join the CPAP community, but I also wanted to entertain you all with my storytelling and artistic talent. so I came up with an idea..and I want to clirify this with all of you so you all do not feel threatened., I did not intend at all to confuse you all with what i was doing. obviously I did and I want to apologize to you for the confusion.
Ok, here is what I want to clarify...... BREATHIE1, and CPAPMAN11, are one of the same person, I created the name Breathie1 to use for my storytelling of my fictional CPAP machine character named BREATHIE. I am bouncing from this name (CPAPman11) to my other one (Breathie1) back and forth so I can keep these 2 personas seperate for my storytelling purposes. That is all i am doing. I in no way wanted to make you all think that i was here to harm you or make trouble on this website, I wanted to entertain you all, that is it. so..I hope i clarified everything for you and eased your minds. I apologize again to those who have felt threatened of what I wanted to do for you all.
I still want to show you all my drawing of my cartoon character BREATHIE THE LITTLE CPAP MACHINE, I am almost done with him to show you all, and I do want to keep storytelling to you all, but if you all feel that you want me to stop my stories, then I will stop what I've been doing. I will be sad to do so, But I will if you want me too.
Thank you so much for understanding and I hope I made you feel better about what I've been doing.
Happy CPAPING,
JOSE

Re: Life with Breathie, the CPAP machine
I don't mind the stories and I find it entertaining. The only thing I am concerned with, but I am only one person, is people using multiple user accounts. I can fully understand why you may want to do that so you can jump in or out of character. I guess the thing that concerns me is what is to prevent someone else from creating an alter ego to do some damage on the list. Not saying that you are trying to do that, but I have seen this happen on other less civil boards and it is just a concern.
Okay, I'll sit down now and shut up. After all I'm one of the new folks here so maybe my opinion shouldn't count just yet.

Yup. It does.Cpapman11 wrote:... Thank you so much for understanding and I hope I made you feel better about what I've been doing. ...
In fact, if you are able to turn this into a book for youngsters and their parents, it is the type of things that a lot of parents, doctors and respiratory therapists would be able to use.
Though others might be find offense, I don't see it as a problem. More and more children are being screened for sleep problems. And it is very important for both the children and the parents. To quote from a Medscape article:
But I might suggest you add the designation "OT: " to the subject line. That will let people know it's part of your ongoing project. The consequences of untreated sleep problems may include significant emotional, behavioral, and cognitive dysfunction. The magnitude of these sequelae is inversely proportional to the child's overall ability to adapt and develop in spite of the sleep disturbance.
Hope that helps.

I completely understand what your concern is sir, But please know that I am not one of those people that want to stir up trouble. that's why I wanted to clarify my actions and make it known to you all of what I was trying to do. If I wanted to stir up trouble, I would have thought of something more harmful to do or say on here, Also, I want to give the moderators here permission to oversee my posts, (On both usernames CPAPMAN11 and BREATHIE1, they are the same person) to show you how honest I want to be with you all.

I think those inclined to stir up trouble find ways to do it even with no alter ego to assist. And, some well known and respected members of the community have more than one account log in.Perrybucsdad wrote:I guess the thing that concerns me is what is to prevent someone else from creating an alter ego to do some damage on the list. It's not how long you've been here that gives your opinion more weight so much as it is what you do while you're here. That is my opinion, anyway.Perrybucsdad wrote:After all I'm one of the new folks here so maybe my opinion shouldn't count just yet.
