Spare Power for ResMed S9 Autoset
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -cord.html
I've read the description, but still am unsure weather or not this includes everything needed to power the unit. It says one thing, shows another thing, and references something else altogether. Camping season will start soon and the way my unit is positioned at home makes it a pain to take the power cord along with the unit. Rather than buying a travel unit, I figured it would be easier to purchase a spare power setup.
With all due respect to whoever may be offended, I think CPAP has allot of nerve charging $60 bucks for this.

You'll need more than that. A good place to start researching is viewtopic.php?t=9682.

Re: Spare Power for ResMed S9 Autoset
Maybe I wasn't clear. All I want is a spare AC setup so I don't have to take the power cord with me. I'm not looking for a DC/battery operated solution.

Resmed implemented a policy several months ago which sets the minium price for their equipment from on line vendors.this_is_nascar wrote:With all due respect to whoever may be offended, I think CPAP has allot of nerve charging $60 bucks for this.
Your beef should be with Resmed.
If you google the part you will discover that CPAP.com has the cheapest price for this, Some vendors have it at over $100.
Congratulations on finding the cheapest price

Isn't there a 30 watt for use without the humidifier? Not sure, just throwing that out there.

Yes the lightweight adaptor is resmed part 36920, it looks like it retails at $10 less than the 90 watt version.Lizistired wrote:Isn't there a 30 watt for use without the humidifier? Not sure, just throwing that out there.

Where can you buy it any cheaper? I'll bet cpap.com is selling that item as cheap as Resmed will allow them to. Like others have said your beef should be with Resmed. Don't try cpapauction.com because Resmed forced cpap.com to remove all Resmed products from that site.
I use a Resmed s9 and I like it but your going to find out the people who run Resmed are heartless. The price for that power supply is a rip off and everybody knows it. When someone comes out with a better wheel Resmed will have to change their arrogant attitude.
Just my 2 cents.

Re: Spare Power for ResMed S9 Autoset
OK, thanks for the responses. All pricing aside, can anyone confirm that does included everything I need to power my S9?

Given that the web page says
and I can't find a bundle option on the page, I'd just call the 800 and ask...if it were me.The power cord is included. If you are missing the cord that plugs into the wall socket and the power transformer, please select the bundle located on this page.

Yes, it does.this_is_nascar wrote:can anyone confirm that does included everything I need to power my S9?
The power supply consists of the black adapter with a permanently attached DC cable that goes to the S9, plus a separate AC power cable (which plugs into the adapter) to run from the wall point to the adapter. While the illustrations on the CPAP .com web page don't show the power cable, the product spec tab clearly indicates that "The power cord is included".
Cheers,
Bill

Re: Spare Power for ResMed S9 Autoset
Maybe we should just not give Resmed our business if they are going to take that attitude. Hell, It's 24 volts! What runs on 24volts except airplanes. Fools. 12Volts would be much more practical . My old 420E has been running off of a battery for years. Use it in the car, plane, backpack, camper. Yea 12v takes heavier wires and that would matter IF I WERE RUNNING A VACUUM CLEANER! The 420E only uses about 40 watts. Resmed Shredsmed! I tossed them in 2004 when I sold the Spirit after a power outtage.
12 VOLTS GOES ANYWHERE.

I would checkout The Battery Geeks. They seem to have the best CPAP battery and power protection solutions against power outages. They hooked me up with a solution for my ResMed S9 Autoset that has turned out to be pretty sweet. Their site is at http://www.batterygeek.net/cpap
Good luck!

Re: Spare Power for ResMed S9 Autoset
Thanks, although I'm not looking for a battery or battery backup solution, just the OEM power/plug. Although I'm pissed at the cost, my replacement power pack/wires arrived the other day, so I'm set for having the spare power at the campground.
