Anyone want to buy a Hans Rudolph 7600 Vmask Series Full Face Mask with Sensa Seal in size extra small?
Warning: You need to measure yourself with the HR caliper to find the correct size for your face. 'Extra small' sounds tiny, but it isn't.
Second warning: This mask was not for me. I echo Masked Ranger's sentiments:
Masked Ranger wrote:Besides being one of more costly masks on the market... it leaked badly around the nose bridge and the vent holes are very noisy. The head gear is an outdated rat's nest of uncomfortable velcro straps that takes three hands to untangle and impossible get properly adjusted. I contact Han Rudolph to complain... they said my pressures are too high (10/15 is too high??)and I needed a sensa seal to stop the nose area leakage. Ok... I get the nose seal and didn't help.
Third warning: The box says SMALL but on the mask it says EXTRA SMALL. (Not sure if you care, but just so you know.)
Boy, for somebody who's trying to unload a mask, you'd think I wouldn't include all these caveats.... But full disclosure is a good thing. Right?

NS,
Don't ever go into sales...(JK). No, really, your honesty is refreshing and appreciated, I'm sure. My thought was, Severeena (Sharon) is a huge endorser of Hans Rudolph full face masks and uses one herself, but I'm not sure which one in particular she uses. Perhaps you should PM her and see if she'd be interested. She hasn't been posting in the past week or so, at least I haven't seen any of her posts, and may miss an opportunity she'd want to take advantage of. Just a thought.

I use the V7600 full face mask.
The new head gear is out and I feel that is part of the problem some are having with the mask. You need the head gear that has the straps and not the mesh cap.

Does anyone know if the mask chamber sizes are inter-changable, or the size you buy is what you live with?
If the chambers can be replaced to a standard size I'd be interested in the mask.

According to the sales blurb:
The silicon face piece can be changed or replaced with any size.
So Roger, if you're interested, let me know!

Roger if you are talking about the hard plastic swivel piece the hose attachs to the mask is interchangable.

Hello Sharon,
Good to hear from you again.
My question is focussed on understanding if I bought NeverSleeps' extra-small mask, could I order the standard-size chamber and use what she is offering?
Of course that might be the entire mask, so I'm trying to figure this out before spending a lot and find I can only use the harness.

The headgear is interchangable also.
I have the small HR and large mesh cap head gear and my petite mask will work with the large head gear and the small mask will work with my strap head gear.

Roger... The mask does not have inter-changeable shell sizes. You have to specify the size and like all masks... they are not returnable if it doesn't fit. Don't waste your money on a HR mask. The product is over priced and doesn't perform as advertised. I don't think the "new" head gear is going to solve the nose leakage problems everyone seems to be having (based on the numerous postings on this site). It's a poorly engineering product. It leaks, it's noisy and the headgear doesn't work... plain and simple. If there was firmer support around the nose area it wouldn't leak. The way Severeena is "pushing" the mask on this site makes me wonder if she works for HR. There are better masks on the market for allot less money.

Well I guess that puts that idea to bed.
I've got a Ultra Mirage full face that I like, but it leaks like a screen door on a submarine going deep.
Here are two reports that show how much this mask likes to leak:
Encore Report 29-November-2005
Encore Report 30-November-2005
So far I've been using two nasal interface, Mirage Activa and Comfort Curve. Both work well and are comfortable, but I can't stop the leakage at my trap and the comments about my motorboat sounds at night are becoming ledgedary at family discussions.
Of course others have recommended Duct Tape (Yikes! ), but that idea just brings up nasty images that takes me down the garden path to SM. If nobody minds, I'll pass on that approach.
I guess the Masked Ranger saves the day again.
Anyone seen Tonto lately?

Hey Roger...
Perhaps you have the wrong size Ultra Mirage FFM? In the few nights I've used it, mine averages an average leak of 39. Have you tried readjusting it in different ways? If you don't still have the DVD that shows you how to do that, I can send it to you (as long as you promise to send it back). Obviously, different masks work in different ways with different people, but there must be a way to get your Ultra Mirage to fit a little better.

Roger, did you measure yourself with the Hans Rudolph caliper or did the DME?
If the DME did it, call the Hans Rudolph people and request a caliper and measure yourself, then contact the HR people and they will tell you the correct size.
DME's do not know and I am speaking from experience on this one, DME's do not know how to read or measure with the caliper.
