Most of you know by now that I am a lionkeeper. I work with three lions, a tiger and a liger at our local zoo, which just happens to be next door. I also work with other people's big cats when they need help or want to take a vacation, etc. (It is really hard to find a big cat petsitter!) Unfortunately though, most of the week I am a broadcast engineer (which I also really enjoy, just wish I had more 'kitty time'). I also have two domestic cats.

This picture is of our magnificent male lion "Kenya'. Kenya has an amazing mane, as big as a lion's mane can possibly get. It runs all the way down his belly and on to the front of his back legs. And he loves to be massaged just about anywhere in that vast mane! Kenya is very gentle for such a proud 'beast', and is the best friend I have. Just being with him can make the most evil day good.

Great, I love cats too. I have two 'small' cats, brother and sister, both 13 years old, total black fur.

I react to situations much like Taz and even had a tatoo put on my arm in my tempered youth. My first picture was of Taz getting angry sitting in from of a computer which is a real life experience for me. For me this avatar was a no brainer!

So I changed it again. This is me last weekend in my steam punk costume at the sci-fi convention. I won a workmanship award with it.

If the girlfriend calls you "Muttley", you must be "Muttley". Must have something to do with the laugh. Heh, heh, heh!

I thought about the Darth Vader look, then went for the next most memorable mask I could think of.

I did not realize that Monkeys had a history here! Mine has something to do with Monkeys and footballs, and just reminds me of some of the people I work with and around.

My avatar goes along with my nic. The bridge in my avatar is the bridge to Topsail Island. It is the only operating swing bridge in NC anymore. In the pic it is show "swung" open. Topsail Island is my home. With any luck it will be my permanent home by Christmas. My love, life and passion is that Island.....

I'm not really sure who picked my avatar. It just seems to go with the screen name. You mean we get to pick a avatar to go with the screen name? My wife would sure be surprised by the change!!
