Prescription from US Physician to buy ResMed

i moved to Florida last decemeber and have done a few purchase online for my mask and accessories.

Yesterday i went online again to place an order for ResMed Swfit FX and i was asked for a prescription from US physician.
i was stunned!

i am paying out of my own pocket and i have my OSA diagnosed few years back in my country, does that mean i am not able to purchase anything from US?
i just want to buy a mask.

anyone out there can help? would be appreciated.

in short - FDA required that users of mask and CPAP show their prescription before getting this very dangerous products

this was enforced rigorously only in the last 2 years. Before that Yahoo auction and sometimes e_bay sell CPAP masks and CPAP freely. then e-Bay stopped all CPAP and masks auctions, yahoo auction closed and we are left with Craiglist and kijiji all local web based market.

however in Canada and Australia you can buy CPAP and its masks without prescription

No problem. Did you read in the other thread what echo wrote? You should be able to buy what you want from cpap.com with your prescription.
