This is a cpap forum........please go somewhere else for your continued off topic debates.
You are driving lurkers and members away with your ongoing bickering--defeating the true purpose of this board.

We've recently cured the financial risk for corporations too big to fail.Roman Hokie wrote:Well, despite tons of funding (and fundraising), we've not cured AIDS or Cancer. Most of what we have done is aided in diagnostic care or quality of life issues. What have we actually cured recently?

Your unfounded statement just adds to the ignorance and nonsense already rampant here.

But that begs the question, How do you know when a lurker leaves?
Do they really leave a void? Really?

Well don't get mad ... get even.

I don't see it that way at all, Max. I believe that everyone is welcome here -- regardless of nationality, race, size, political leanings, sexual orientation...whatever. I'm sure there are a few narrow-minded people here (as there are everywhere), but sleep disorders do not discriminate. So why should we? And I believe the overwhelming majority of the people who frequent this forum feel the same.Max250 wrote:Australian members are clearly not wanted on this forum regardless of how helpful or amenable we are.
As for cliques, well, I suppose I felt that way at first too. I felt like an "outsider" for a while, until I started contributing to the board myself. But I've always felt welcome here. People have gone out of their way to help me -- including some very kind Aussies!

How, in fact, do you know when ANYONE leaves...unless they say so (and even at that they might come back!)Really wrote: How do you know when a lurker leaves?
Which makes the claim that BOTH actually HAVE left even less substantiated.
Really! (lol Couldn't help myself...)
I, too, see no prejudice against Australians as a group, just a few individuals.

I have to agree with you, Dream On. I've received a tremendous amount of help from most people here, including people from many countries other than the US. Some of the members from Australia have been some of the most supportive of me. I'm not ignoring other countries either -- just pointing out how the statement that Australians aren't welcome here seems very odd to me. I think everyone is welcome in this forum as long as they treat others the way they want to be treated.DreamOn wrote:I don't see it that way at all, Max. I really don't care where a person is from. I decide about them based on their behavior, not the country they come from.

Yes... That's why sometimes I'm from Monaco, sometimes I'm from Micronesia, and sometimes I'm from Iceland!Maple Leaf wrote: c'mon kids, remember, it's just the internet..... you can be whomever you like
Yup! We get apnea there too... "there", of course, meaning whichever country I happen to be from at any given moment. I KNOW we have a global community on this message board because I'm a global community... single-handedly... Oh, I'm from Australia too!
