Or a GPS receiver programmed with the map of North America!

Lori and Amy, thanks for the "slap upside the head" and words of encouragment. Actually very little of my daughter's cookies stayed with me, but obviously even that was too much.

So this weekend I was very active; much more so than I've been in a long time! Saturday I helped pull a coilover suspension setup from a friends car, pull my old suspension, install my friends suspension on my car, then install his new suspension. Sunday after bible study and church I installed a fountain, did some carpentry, fixed the porch lights (electrical problem with the automatic timer) and installed a new light fixture in the family room.

It is almost lunch, and as soon as I get caught up on the forum I'll grab a (light) bite to eat and take a walk.

Bill,

If you aren't muscle sore after that, twisting and turning to get things in and out of a car, in all sorts of shapes, you are still doing pretty well. One of the harder things to do and not feel over the next few days. Glad to hear you got active and are taking this seriously. Go get 'em!

It makes you realize that you don't use a lot of the muscles anymore when you do things like this and ache, and ache, and ache.

On another note, just got off the phone with my PCP and she is writing me a script for a home pulse oximeter to see what happens when I don't use the machine. I will know soon if I can or cannot give this up. Scary...

YAHOO!!! 1 lb. is great, better than gaining or staying the same. And then along comes Halloween and the candy...do we ever stand a chance?

Only not knowing is scary. This is excellent news that soon you will know. If you're anything like me, it is the uncertainty that eats you up.

You just nailed it on the head, Bill. With most things in life, for me, the not knowing is harder than getting the bad news, and I think it will be in this situation for me, too. If I have to be on therapy, so be it. Like I've always said, there is so much worse in life than this. But until I know one way or another, you can change my name to Basket Case on LI.

OH MY GOD!!! Is fantastic an understatement or what? It took me four months to do that!!! So it already feels worth it, eh, Ted? Congratulations. This is so exciting for us, too, to watch you shrink. Please change photos every now and then so it can be a visual experience for us, too, if you would!!!
