I have never had a humidifier on my old cpap machines in the last 15+years of using one.
A few days ago, I got a really nice 400m with a built in humidfier and people here were kind enough to show me how to program it to be the same numbers as my old machine.
Problem is that I wake up early in the morning with a wet face. Feels like I poured water on my nose area but its not really that wet.
Suggestions? I have turned it down to about 1 or 2 on the dial but the same thing still happens.
Also I checked my AHI, it shows my average for the last 3 nights at 1.1, is that okay?
I wake up with water on my face, wet feeling.
Re: I wake up with water on my face, wet feeling.
I would try turning it off, using a hose cover or maybe even getting a heated hose. I don't use mine because I get rainout no matter what I do.

Rainout? is that the term for it?
I really do feel better sleeping with the humidfier. I notice a difference.
What does a heated hose do and are they expensive? I got my machine for 12 bux at the thrift so I'm kind of on a serious budget lately.

Bobotech,
Yes, rainout is the term for when water condenses in your hose and mask. You can try to put the hose under the covers with you to eliminate rainout. Sometimes this works. Or, as Jaylee mentioned, put a cover on your hose. If you are willing to spend some money, get a heated hose. Check on cpap.com or cpapauction.com, they may have what you need.
If it doesn't bother you to have a wet nose or gurgling hose, then no worries!

Bob, here are links to some interesting discussions about the Aussie heated hose and other ways to combat rainout:

I got my heated hose from http://www.sleepzone.com.au
It's called "heated cpap tube" there.
If I needed to get another one nowadays and wanted to save money, I'd look for a reptile heat cable. The Repti Heat Cable is mentioned in quite a few of the discussions.

Thank you for all the advice. I shall see if it helps and I will look into the heated reptiles.
