Dori,

Feel for you on this one. Not good but lets pray it goes well.

We are grappling with our own challenge at home this week as my wife's 89 yo father went to hospital 1 week ago & we all thought he was not going to survive - but he is a tough old warrior & is hanging on although his kidneys are barely working, heart has a known leaky valve which has been a reason for low blood pressure meds for the past 15 years.

2 days ago he was moved out of intensive but his legs and arms are swollen. He is still able to chat & rustle up a grin but realizes things aren't good.

So I'll pray for you & Mike & can you slip a prayer our way

Cheers

I'm so sorry that Mike and you are having to go through this, Dori. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with you both. You are such a special lady, and Mike has so clearly grown stronger for all your attentive and continuous work to make his cpap therapy effective. We're all here for you.

Thank you so much for all your good wishes and for acknowledging Mike's service to his country. He is certainly my hero and if you knew him he would be yours too. He is a true soldier never talking about himself and what he suffered or the atrocities he witnessed, but always crying for all the buddies he lost even after all these years. Your kind words have really helped me so much and I wish you all a restful sleep .

DSM, You have my prayers as well.

Dori,

My prayers for you and Mike. <wry grin> After I read your note, I dragged my husband in the back and made sure he knew how to set up my machine and put on my mask. Not that I'm planning on any emergencies, mind! But then, I suspect Mike wasn't planning on this, either!

One thing to keep in mind is that because you have made sure his therapy is successful, he is in better shape this time, and should heal faster and better!

I'm thinking of you and Mike, Dori.
His body is getting more oxygen now that he's on CPAP, hopefully that will make healing his a simpler issue this time around.
Best wishes
O.

Hi Dori

The residue of war can last a long time.

Just when you think life is going smoothly..................it throws you a curve ball.

I'm sure you and Mike can hit them balls way over the boundary.

Whatever life energy I can muster is on it's way to you both.
