product offering (trial)

Post by Strapparatus » Thu Jan 14, 2010 11:12 am

I am offering a trial, free sample to individuals who will simply visit my website and register for a disposable
"NozGuard". Since my company is a small business, and I will pay for postage of the samples sent there will
have to be a limit of 100 individuals. ( I plan on deducting this on corporate taxes for 2011- the postage and cost for materials).

I do not have samples in large quantities and the available sizes offered for the free sample is 3-4mm in tan or white
(small) or (medium-large). Please anticipate 2-4 weeks for delivery (Materials are in shipment) and I work full time in a medical facility!

My website is <Removed Per Admin> and register. I will e-mail you after you have registered and request size desired, color.
The Nozguard , although disposable should last a couple of nights of use.

If and when 100 customers have registered or requested through this site through Private messaging a free sample, I will notify by posting
the completion of the 100 registered and will stop the free trial.

Some of you may have trialed the Sleep Comfort Care Pad and want to compare a respiratory therapist's version ( hypoallergenic and other features
and advantages such as disposable, easy to apply / remove, re-usable up to 2 nights - (minimum) and possibly even more than that.
Its a brand new product that I worked on for over 1 year, and has finally been trademarked and patented. Currently, my employer (medical center), is trialing this
product on patients having continuous bi-level noninvasive ventilation. Made in USA. May you sleep well! Thank you.

You know, you've been around this forum for a long time one way or another, but not everyone remembers what your invention's about. You have not said in your posting today exactly what the product does, what are the indications for using it, and your website doesn't say anything either!

What is this? What does it look like? How does it work? I went to your web site, but couldn't find a picture.

I have not been here in quite a while BUT remember the fiasco that was created last time this guy was around!!!
Beware.. blood, sweat and tears are involved with some of these products.

That looks very uncomfortable to me for the quattro mask. I'll keep what I have.

I will state that the trial offered was submitted to Ms. Karen Fulmer, who according to the cpap.com information evaluates product challenges.
Ms. Fulmer has yet to respond to the challenge submitted.

Secondly, the other products have been marketed through respected publications, see "Respiratory Entrepreneurship 101" Focus Journal for Respiratory Care
and Sleep Medicine July 2009 issue. In addition, products have been exhibited at the 2009 Focus Conference in Orlando Florida. Perhaps you should contact Mr. Bob
Miglino, Publisher of the Focus Journal should there be any doubt. In addition, cpap.com is included in this specific issue regarding his company and the cpaptalk.com
community.
The Focus Journal is going to market this product in due time (4-6 weeks). I'm sure that everyone in the cpaptalk.com forum are subscribers to this "free" journal, (correct?)
here is the website: http://www.foocus.com

Besides the Focus Journal you can contact another publication, "SleepMatters" (American Association of Sleep Medicine) and see this advertisement concerning the product, which, has improved through communication
with cpaptalk.com forum members.

Actually it's "Katherine Fulmer" and she is no longer with cpap.com. I understand she has moved out of the state.

If there was a picture of your "Nozguard" on your website, people would know what it is and how it works. I looked and there is "no image". Is that my computer or do you not have a picture there?

Maybe I, just a humble, uncertified, unwashed, uneducated, non-reader of the Foocus Journal and
Yahoo hosehead can be of assistance......

Thanks carbonman. The image did not come up when I went to the link that the OP provided (the main Strapparatus website), at least not on my computer.

Moleskin from the Dollar Store would be cheaper and faster to get.

Cheers,

There was a picture and they are just round circles of what looks like moleskin as Bab's pointed out. There is no list of materials or the adhesive used in the product. They looked on the surface like those nose pads you stick on eyeglasses to keep them from causing red spots on the side of your nose except these were round. How this is an improvement from using Mack's silicon earplugs is beyond me.

The OP obviously doesn't understand about product challenges at cpap.com or pay enough attention to what is going on at the forum to be aware of personnel changes there.
