A few updates.

I sent an email to cpap.com to see if they intended to stock this product. They are affilated with this forum, so I like to give em my web business. I was informed they are not planning to stock it.

I then called up CPAPUSA.com, who are the folks that list this product on the web. My question related to the sizing, as it comes in Large and Small. I was told it is being sized so that Large is for men and Small is for women, in general. Also, I was told this product was invented by the drummer of the Grateful Dead, whose mom had OSA and had nose bridge problems.

In any case, news for FalvesJr: They won't have it in stock until next week.

Gary,

I think it would be worthwhile to try MIkeVL's solution. I suspect the materials are the same and the cost savings would be significant. I'm gonna give it a try myself.

Great! I wish they had told *me* that it's not yet in stock!

Oh well, I'll just have to wait...

I found a nice large white halloween skull decoration and trimmed a piece of the gel to fit over the bridge of my nose and under my eyes. I wash the gel with soap an warm water each night, pat it dry and stick it to my nose and face, then apply the mask over it. The gel creates a perfect seal with a lot less tension than I neede without, and I wake with NO RED SORE NOSE!!

I hope this post helps some of you sore nose bridge sufferers!

Good idea Mike. Give us an update sometime.

MikeVL, can you or someone else who understands what this holiday stuff is about put a link here, or show a picture of what this is? Pardon my ignorance here.

I suggest you go to a "dollar store" (or any store that has Christmas decorations). They probably already have Christmas decorations out or Halloween decorations on clearance. Find some decorations that stick onto a building window pane. They use a polymer gel pad to stick to the glass. This appears to be the same material the nose protector is made of.

My daughter has that stuff all over our windows. The answer was close at hand and I knew it not!

Although, I don't think these will last too long on the nose under a mask, but maybe I is wrong.

I think he's talking about the thick gel cling things, probably about 1/8 " thick if I'm remembering correctly, not the plasticy, static cling things. I would look for some without glitter, unless you like the sparkly look!

Oh - good clarification. I thought all window clings were gel clings, but not so

Gel clings:

Still, those things seem to fall apart easily - maybe it is due to my daughters muscles?

Thank you so much for the link. Appreciate it. These are much cheaper than the $15 for the product mentioned earlier. But I imagine you need to buy one that's big enough to cut so it is the right size.

May I suggest this one would look fine on your nose?

While this might be a little spendy, it offers the most customization:

(edit) This as well:

From what I remember about the gel products, they don't bleed color. Sooo does that mean the gel dyes are harmless when we stick them on our face? Just wondering.

Hi,
Ordered mine at 5 am this morning. Should be here Friday or Saturday.

I am getting the small one. I think with the proper care it will last longer than the 30 days it quotes.
