Hello
I am a resource room teacher in an elementary school. Now partially retired, working part time...and loving the balance of work and play.

During the day I work in the (gasp!) DME industry. But my true calling is artist and writer.

Here's my pitiful website for my art including a link to my blog:

Darned if I understand what I do for a living since I am a hippy liberal from the 1960s who totally believes we need 100% socialized medice in the US. Officially, I work for a health insurance company for which I get paid what I consider to be a generous salary to write email and to go to meetings. Sometimes I jump up and down and scream about the amount doctors and hospitals charge for their services. Part of healthcare reform should include price controls on all health care providers.

Recently retired govt scientist (toxicologist), currently part timing as a science consultant and technical writer (but mostly building an airplane in my garage).

Quite an interesting collection of vocations at this site!

I was a software development engineer in test until January.
Now I'm a contract programmer-writer
And a published technical author.
And an epublished (not self-published) fiction author.
And a fiction editor.
And a wife and mother.
And a jewelry artist.

MoneyGal, Oh how I miss manuals properly written by a Tech writer. We need more of you folks.
I am a senior engineer for a TV post production facility. Am 65 and probably will not retire in this life. Keep busy woodworking with my son, make pens for veterans, turn odd shaped wood into round pieces on my lathe. Volunteered as an EMT for 17 years, still ride occasionally. And, spend as much time as possible with my four grandchildren.
RG, love the pictures, my avatar is a beautiful German Shepherd, Kasey. She is 12 and still going strong.
There is only one way to achieve happiness on this terrestrial ball, And that is to have either a clear conscience, or none at all.
