Very sorry about that, Will! Now I finally understand the context of your original comment: intelligent people will make up their own minds regarding what Mike is up to. Very good point.

Mike, I'm still trying to figure out exactly how such a bizarre sexual-molestation story serves us in any constructive way. What are we supposed to do with that information? Keep our vigilance up by sleeping lightly during the PSG? Interview the sleep techs, hoping the rotten ones decide to be forthright with us about their intentions? Head after that rare PSG bastard in the news story with rakes and pitch forks raised high?

I can definitely understand your wanting high-traffic apnea sites to have a sharing "open borders" policy with your own apnea supply site. I think that's a no-brainer. But I'm admittedly having a tough time figuring out how any of this is "like minded" with the way cpaptalk and TAS sensitively conduct business.

I don't recall Johnny or Tracy ever dropping a sensational train-wreck of a thread with a convenient link to either of their sites.

The story was a news article written by a reporter. I thought it would be information of interest to sleep apneans because it happened in a sleep lab, which is a place where we in particular have to go from time to time. By no means am I trying to discourage women or anyone else from going to get a sleep study, or get folks to think that this is a common occurrence at sleep labs. If i have given that impression, I apologize. At this point, i think this thread has taken a very sad turn for the worse, and we should all just let it rest.

Sexual Molestation By A Man

Absolutely! You know me, forgive and forget!

Why, when you post an article, you simply don't post the entire article, or link to the article directly? Why does it have to be a link to your site? Why do you "poach" from the cpaptalk "family"? Why can't you get it through your skull that "poaching" is a boorish behavior? When you visit your biological "family" for Christmas (or Hanukkah, Kwanza, Festivus, whatever) do you "poach" their bath linens, silverware and ashtrays? Do you have an extension cord running through the bushes into your neighbor's yard and "poach" their electricity?

Why can't you see the discourtesy of your methods to our hosts?

You are not "contributing", you are "detracting" by spreading fear and distrust. You're right, that's not like sexual molestation, it's like terrorism.

The implication of this Shock Journalism that Sleep Labs are unsafe based as the actions of a single man in an unaccredited facility are ludicrous. Why didn't you research this and post some real "contributing" material, like the facility wasn't accredited or didn't have cameras? Maybe I should start a string of links that detail the criminal, amoral and deviant behavior of lawyers. Bet I can come up with a hundred links for every one you can come up with about sleep laboratories. Even then, does that mean all lawyers are scum of the earth?

Sleazing in to an established forum and posting your incessant links to your own site may be a clever business scheme, but says nothing about your character (actually, it says everything about your character).

Have a Muffy Day!

I was just thinking this Mike dude reminds me a lot of Cheney ... especially his popularity around here

Oooops So much for my contribution to killing this thread ... oh well.

Maybe it's time for the the undisclosed location thingy.
