power outtage in the middle of the night

Post by vaderboi » Tue Feb 10, 2009 12:09 pm

our power went out last night and was out about four hours. Luckily, I hadn't started treatment, but wound up sleeping for about 2 hours before I was able to start treatment. this is only the second time in two years or so that the power has gone out, so it doesn't happen on a regular basis. Just wondering, is there a backup battery system available for machine that would keep it running in case it ever happens again in the middle of the night?

Hi, there will be lots of info on this subject and a few options ie, special stuff for cpap or how to use a car battery. remember if you have a back up battery you will have to keep it charged as you never know when the power is going to go off, I have an idea as outs is when there is a high wind or an ice storm usually. just try putting in different word combinations to see what you come up with in the search area at the top of the page, left side. and look what is available at https://www.cpap.com this forums sale site.
