I guess this is the plan: as soon as Kiralynx lets us know which, if either, her friend can use, the other one will be available to someone else, and whoever gets my mask will get Carbonman's headgear. If I'm wrong on any of that, someone please correct me.
Marsha,

OK, after six long distance phone calls to people, I got in touch with the CPAPer. It seems her sister's news was a few days old, and that a Good Samaritan got there before me. She's got what she needs courtesy of the hospital who was apparently upset that a CPAPer couldn't use her gear after her surgery, and got her nice new stuff. (Lol! She's got a Comfort Curve and actually likes it! Do I hear the refrain of "Masks are an individual thing..."?)

She says thanks to all for thinking of her.

So, many thanks to those who have masks and were willing to wait while I did the crazed chicken dance and tried to find out what was needed. (No, Rooster, that was not a reference to you!)

Pass to the next person who needs these things! And may this make for a merrier Christmas for all the recipients! And a glow on the hearts of the givers!

Rats!! I haven't seen a crazed chicken dance for a while. How about an instant replay posted to YouTube? What's important is that she has the equipment that she needs AND likes. That's great.

Folks, I'm not sure where the others are with theirs, but no one else had sent me a PM, so my Ultra Mirage full face mask, size small, and Carbonman's headgear for it are still available to someone who doesn't have insurance and can't afford to buy one on their own.

Oh, you mean like this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb03WoMPSwE Or better yet, this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0ENn0RATzQ&NR=1

Absolutely! We had a good long talk -- she's another who had to battle to get diagnosed. "Oh, you're a graduate student... of course you're exhausted all the time... you're in law school, of course you're exhausted...." Except she remembers being exhausted when she was nine years old!

Hope someone else who needs it finds that Ultramirage a home....

Okayyyyyyy. More progress.

So......
stepbill's Swift LT & headgear are going to JayC's brother Jim.
Kiralynx's friend's sister was given a brand spankin' new mask to replace her broken one.

That leaves three that are still available for someone without insurance. If that's you or if you know someone like that, just send a PM with the full name and mailing address to the appropriate person listed below:
-- Ultra Mirage full face mask, size small, and headgear (send a PM to Songbird)
-- Swift II nasal pillow mask and headgear (send a PM to sleeplessinaz)
-- Hans Rudolph full face mask, size small, and headgear (send a PM to CorgiGirl)

Folks, this is a pretty big bandwagon. Feel free to join us!!

Hey all....
I have an NA II mask with a couple of nasal prongs (I believe size XL and L -- unsure without searching it out which I will do anyway...). If what I have doesn't fit, contact Babs and work out a trade or deal.....

Now. The NA II is a "weird" (to me) mask and may not work for everyone, but I'm willing to shoot it off to anyone who would like to try it out with the understanding that if they do not like it or want it that it go to Babs (where I got it in the first place) for her program of sending them out to folks to try (since she's the keeper of the NA II masks).
This mask has full headgear, has been slightly used by me -- prior history is unknown -- and I will disinfect it with Control III prior to sending it out.

So if'n your interested, shoot me a PM.
Please. Folks without insurance only -- for those of us with insurance, masks just aren't that expensive, but for someone without, it can be a show stopper. Having been involuntarily unemployed for the past 20+ months, without my wife's benefits, I'd be in that boat myself!!!!!

It won't go out until at least Friday, but hey....Also, it'll be my nickel for shipping!!
If I get no takers, the mask will be going back to Babs for her NA II program......

Everyone have a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, or whatever you celebrate this time of year. I'm a Buddhist, so I celebrate every day!!!!

cheers
goose

I have a Mirage Swift II with a medium nasal pillow free including shipping. Prefer someone without insurance. The nasal pillow was used two times and has been cleaned in disinfectant (?). Also includes the head gear. PM me your address.
