Men Only: McCain checking out Palin (Audio not safe for work
Re: Men Only: McCain checking out Palin (Audio not safe for work
The title of this thread clearly spells out what it's about and so anyone can choose whether or not to read it! If you're offended, just don't read it

Take a chill pill ...
Put your mask on and take a few deep breaths ... then click on a differnt thread!
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Curious what outrageous genre of satire you find in this thread that's not offered on prime time television. And that would be yet another venue where you simply don't tune in if your personal preferences don't match the content. Course we could always take down all shows and all threads that anybody happens to find objectionable.wkosturko wrote:I take offense to this BS! What the heck... let's just take that First Amendment down while we're at it.

Then, of course, this exact issue recently came up in another thread:

Rather, I would suggest that when we engage the public, that we should expect and allow a diverse public to be exactly that. And when we are not quite up for tolerating a public with diverse values and methods of expression, such as humor, that we might either reconsider or simply avoid the public if we're not in a mood to tolerate those moods and expressions of others...

Whats appropriate? When I want to hear the news I listen to a news channel. When I want to hear music I listen to a music channel etc. I don't watch actors, musicians, and other venues to listen to their political views. I could really care less on your political, racist, or sexist views.
It might be that your pressure settings are a little high blowing out all that gray matter between the ears!

I'm sorry it offends you. Seriously. I am. But as others have said, no one is forcing you to look at it. The title makes it obvious that the thread is 100% OT (off topic), and since you feel that strongly about what the purpose of this forum should be, I cannot understand why you even opened it.wkosturko wrote:I take offense to this BS! This forum is no place to voice your personal attacks on anyone! Is there not a moderator to remove this link!!!
The administrators allow a certain amount of OT and hijacked threads, and I appreciate it very much. Why?
As far as I've seen, those threads were never posted with bad intentions. The hijacks are just like having a conversation. Sometimes it just takes a left turn. When that happens, someone might gently get us back on topic (gentle and reasonable are the most productive actions; expressed anger and criticism usually only generate the same and are counterproductive) or split the OT/hijacked portion into a new thread. When reasonable people act reasonably, no problem is insurmountable.
The main reason I appreciate the OT and hijacked threads, the jokes, etc., is an extremely serious one. I strongly believe that laughter heals. It's known to lower blood pressure, lift spirits and help people adopt positive outlooks. Those with a positive outlook get better quicker. I have no medical training, and this is only my assumption... When we laugh, we suck in more oxygen than we do when just at rest, working at the computer, etc. Oxygen promotes healing. And without knowing their stories, I can guarantee that a huge number of us just need a good laugh every once in a while. Now, we're not talking a polite little titter, you understand. I mean a gut-busting, body encompassing "I love life" kind of laugh, like when Richard Gere snapped the jewelry box on Julia Roberts' hand in "Pretty Woman." (BTW, I read that was completely unplanned and a total surprise to Julia, which means we get to see her real, true self at that moment.) Many of us spend a considerable amount of time here, and we get to the point of just plain ole enjoying each other's company. Anybody I spend time with needs to enjoy life and allow me to enjoy it, too.
No one expects all of us to agree all of the time; and we certainly don't; and sometimes we don't in technicolor. It's my opinion, though, that the way we choose to express our disagreement is a sure sign of our character.
I hope you'll reconsider your estimation of this forum. There's so much offered here, including an incredible body of knowledge, freely offered suggestions and much-needed support. And as long as they aren't attacks, opposing ideas are welcomed, as well. I think you could benefit from stopping in here from time to time, and I think we could, too.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

Just a commentary on ALL of us. Take a look at all of the good threads full of good, needed SA information and get a sense of how many times they've been viewed. Then take a look at the number of times this thread's been viewed. (1206 and counting) Rah, genes.
Can't wait to see the next post here!

A perplexing case of gray matter that can selectively tune in or out virtually all other media content... while appearing powerless to do the same with this thread... Must be apnea's selective impact on nerual pathways mediating decisions related to message-board viewing.Whats appropriate? When I want to hear the news I listen to a news channel. When I want to hear music I listen to a music channel etc. I don't watch actors, musicians, and other venues to listen to their political views. It might be that your pressure settings are a little high blowing out all that gray matter between the ears!
Meanwhile, back at the man cave....
