The newly installed spellchecker was a bust. It was messing up the BBcode buttons' (bold, underline, url, img, quote, etc.) ability to function properly. We are looking for another solution and hope to have one soon!!

It's fun watching members settle into their new virtual apartments. First it was I can't log in from guests, then the progression of decorations like curtains and moving furniture around. Now it looks like some of the more serious issues are being addressed as users are comfy in the new digs.

As a former developer I have to had it to the development team. With a friendly bunch like those on this site are, you rolled it out and are fixing it as you go. If you were Microsoft, you would have another year or two in development and many more issues when it finally did appear. This one just gets gooder and gooder, so thanks for your work.

I believe we have this issue fixed. I could not replicate the original problem but we found some old code that had to be corrected. So, could someone who had this problem verify if it is still an issue or not? Thanks.
I had the problem and it is working now. Who knows what was happening.

Thanks. You're just jumping on things and resolving them right, left & centre. Great job!

This is the issue I have with screen size. Note the page header & button images. The font size adjustment doesn't change those. I often visit another site that just upgraded without these issues - and I am not putting anybody down - http://forums.mozillazine.org/. I really appreciate what you guys are doing and understand the work you're putting in. I don't care if this gets fixed for the next several days or a month, but it does affect users.

Works for me too now, though I haven't checked beyond the first button.

I'd like to request the FAQ (or something with the same content) come back. I'm new, but I'd already started to rely on it and didn't write things down that I would have...had I know that it was going away.

I do like the new format, colors, etc. And I like that the messages fill the entire screen, not just the center of it. It's working fine on my monitor.

Still having problems with the "end quote"

Post by ozij » Thu Aug 14, 2008 9:43 pm

The quote button eithed does or does not insert an "end quote". I wonder if it's session based - i.e. will do it for the first quote in the present session, but not again....

whoa, you take a computer break for a little while and everything changes!!!!

looks pretty.

I agree with others who said the edit button is gone. I will miss it, I usually find myself correcting myself at least once a post. I know i should be more careful, but it always happens that it sounds fine in my head when I am typing, but when I read it later (after posting) I can see that I often need to tone it down, or be more clear, or just not say so many s t u p i d things.

Also, I like being able to hit reply where ever I am in a thread, not have to be at the top only.

I miss the guests being "Also posted as" especially when I have been accidently guested and too lazy to back out and re-sign in.

AND (this is interesting...to me anyway) I just saw that along with me and a couple of others, a Yahoo bot is listed as visiting the forums. Can't we find a way to shoot 'em on sight? I mean who wants bots scooping up info????

Thats all I notice so far

Editing to say: Whoo-hoo, I'm editing!!!!! it works.

Why do some topics have the scrolling icon and some show the avatars?

I just logged in to check a few posts , and WOW!! The new redesign is amazing! Very very nice! I like the three bits at the top: News, Product News, and Tags. You cpaptalk.com designers and code monkeys are awesome!

itsa time-to-go-bug-hunting, heeeeere bugggyy buugggyyy buggyy

Bigger font: doesn't always work on the first click. You have to click it a number of times before it finally increases in size. Smaller font seems to work on the first click each time.

When posting a reply;
You get a choice of going to the post you just made or going back to the forum. This happens so fast that I don't have time to click on either one. I get sent to the reply I just posted. Could just a little more time be given for those of us who need it?

Yes I've noticed that too- whereas before this pause was for at least one or two seconds, now it jumps back to the post INSTANTLY. Slow it down, folks

Also the smiley problem seems to have been fixed (when the smiley is the last thing in the post, the emoticon wouldn't show up, just the smiley characters).

One more item for the wish list : when in "reply" mode, is it possble to view the list of eqiupment of the previous posters' in the thread? The only thing you can see is the post itself, but not the equipment list -- sort of annoying when you want to check their equipoment in the middle of a reply.

THanks cpaptalk.coM!!
