RemStar Plus Tank for sale

Post by sleepngo » Thu Jul 03, 2008 12:26 pm

I have an RemStar-Plus tank for sale. I was using it as a back-up for my Mseries Bipap auto with Bflex but now have a Mseries apap auto with Aflex as my back-up. The tank has 1870 hours on it and works really great. It comes with the Carry bag has two 6' hoses, one used and one new, has the bipass H and H/H plus the short hose for the bipass H. comes with white fine filters (2) and two reusable filters, manuals for the tank and Humidifiers. Nonsmoking household and no pets, used about four months before switching to a Apap auto with C-flex, now have a Bilevel machine.

$200 plus shipping, pm me if interested.

Dan

You may be hearing from Babs/"Babette".

You didn't mention whether or not it was the model that had C-Flex.

OK. Thanks for verifying that for anyone reading that may be interested.

My comment about Babs/Babbette was sort of tongue-in-cheek for a comment she made in another thread regarding needing the instructions to configure one (last night)........so, I don't know if she WOULD be interested, but from her remarks, she apparently was pleased with the one she used last night.

Silly Dan, Wulfman already sent them to me!

Seriously - for those that have never tried this machine - I was pleasantly surprised.

Yes, it has a bigger footprint than the M Series. Yes, it looks OLD, but it's VERY QUIET, and I've slept VERY WELL for the past two nights on it.

If you need a backup machine, I recommend this one!! I'm getting one for cheap, because the friend I'm swapping machines with (so he can record some data while self-titrating) picked up one at a thrift store for cheap.

Cheers,
Babs

Well, since these machines are so good: I have a RemStar-Plus tank w/ CFLEX and H/H for sale. Barely used as I soon got a RemStar Pro. And a nonsmoking household at that. It may even smell fresh.

$100, I'll pay the shipping
or
I'll give you the machine and $100 cash, just to get it out of my garage
and
If you don't like it, send it back for a full refund.

Babette I agree with you, the RemStar Plus worked fine for me, but do to a bad case of GERD I can no longer tolerate straight Cpap pressure, I needed the SP and Biflex relief pressure, that's why I got the Bilevel machine and Apap auto with Aflex. They give the best pressure relief between Epap&Ipap and minimize aerophagia to a level I can tolerate, still get little at times but most times it is under control.

regards,
Dan

Confused?

Post by tbone106 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 9:15 pm

Who is selling what? I'm interested in a backup machine?

Does this have Bi-level setting - the S8 appears to have something similiar to Bi-level - My inhale is set for 16 exhale for 14 so the pre-settings might work?

Smart Card? I current use the encore plus software (not sure if this compatible with all machines).

I understand no smoking house, what about pets (any type of dander sets me off)?

Hours (saw two different numbers, one barely used another 1800+ hours)

Whew! Had to many to celebrate the 4th!!!

Hi tbone,

This is a fairly complex thread.

Dan is offering his RemStar-Plus tank without exhalation relief (CFLEX) for $200. He did not state whether anyone smoked, or if there were pets in his house.

I'm offering my RemStar-Plus tank with exhalation relief (CFLEX) for $100. Babs said she got her RemStar-Plus tank from a thrift store for $20. I maybe overcharging by $80, but it's for a charitable cause.

Neither Dan's nor my RemStar-Plus tank is data capable.

I'm also offering my ResMed S8 Vantage with exhalation relief (EPR) for $250 for a charitable cause. It is data capable, but you will need to purchase a ResMed ResLink S8 Data Module. I can ship the ResMed Software with the unit, for free. Your Respironics software will not work with this machine.

All devices, with the exception of Dans', can be set to 16cmH2O for inhale and 14cmH2O for exhale.

Both of my machines have been in a house with two (2) Calico cats (sisters actually). One of these cats used to wheeze allot a night when she slept. I always wondered if she had sleep apnea. I never tried to titrate her on either machine, although I thought about it.

Hope this helps.

I will ask my parents if they are intrested. They both have untreated SA. Crapy insurance and they can't afford the machine on one income. And my brother also has untreated SA with no Insurance.

I will talk to them and see if they can afford to get one at the moment.
